"I don't understand." I scanned through my paper trying to finish my case study. Christmas day and I am doing work couldn't get no better.
"Put the work up." My dad walked in holding my baby sister.
Yuck. "No." I continued typing forcefully . Professors have no sympathy for students who makes a assignment due the day after Christmas.
"I will beat your grown ass, come open these gifts."
"You don't care about my grades is that what I heard?
"Why we gotta wait on her?!" Trae whined from the living room.
"I'm coming." I closed my laptop and swung my feet of my bed slipping my slides on unlocking my phone I rolled my eyes seeing no text messages.
"Finally, mine the green ones right?" Trae happily grab a box.
"20 and acting like a child."
"Are you mad? I win you-"
"Shut up." I cut him off sitting in the floor.
We unwrapped our first gifts acting surpised, "Wow father, mother you did not have to buy me BOSE A20 aviation headseat."
"After you constantly texted the groupchat about buying you it and I only asked for my bills paid." I blinked at him taking a purse. "Aw thank y'all."
"Yeah so what y'all got me?" Our dad rubbed his hands smileing.
"I'm a college student." Trae automatically said turning his game on Queen got him.
"A blanket." I pointed to the one Kayla was wrapped it.
"You said that was for- swear I hate it here."
"Anyways look at my new Chanel." My mom smiled showing all three of her new purses plus her new ring.
"At this point if having a baby will make a-"
"Shut up."
Frowning at them, "Y'all don't want me to have a lil baby?"
"No."
"Yes." My mom corrected them.
"Seek help." I shook my head at her ain't no broke human coming out of me.
"So where's the boyfriend?"
"Somewhere being grown ain't even text me."
"His daddy a bitch, nigga gone take my damn twenty dollars." My dad patted the childs back taking his phone out.
"Tell her what y'all betted on."
