~𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃~

Kairi jolted awake in his shared bed. Beads of sweat dripping from his forehead. He was panting like he had just ran a marathon.

Was it just a dream? He thought. Kairi looked around and saw Corey's cot in the corner of the room. He then moved his eyes down to the bed and noticed that their was nobody beside him but the pillow next to his pillow looked like it had recently been used.

His eyebrows scrunched together as he took the blanket covers off his body. Kairi made his way over to the cot and saw a sleeping baby. He smiled and brushed his finger across Corey's cheek. Kairi then opened the bedroom door and started slowly making his way downstairs to the kitchen.

Once he got downstairs he saw a figure standing in the kitchen. He walked closer to it and turned the kitchen light on. There he saw his wife, Isabel putting a tablet into a glass of water. Isabel's attention quickly went to the tired boy. A smile formed on her face.

"Hey hon." She waves. Kairi blinks a couple times and wipes his eyes to make sure he's still not dreaming. "Uh Hey." He tiredly spoke. "What're you doing?"

"Oh I woke up to a headache so I came down to get paracetamol. What about you? What are you doing up at this sorta time in the morning?" She answers then questions him as she starts drinking her water once the tablet dissolved.

Kairi blinks again and shakes his head and then sighs. "I um I had a nightmare, but I'll be fine."

"You sure?" Issy raises an eyebrow. "I can get you a glass of milk if you want?" Kairi nods and sits at their breakfast bar stool. Isabel opens the fridge getting the milk out and pouring it into a glass. She hands the drink to him and puts the milk away.

Kairi quickly chugs the milk down as Issy chuckles at him. As then leans her elbows on the counter; her head being held up by her hand. "So tell me about this dream."

Kairi sighs and looks down than back up meeting Issy's eyes. "Well um it was like our whole life and but after a couple years of ya having Corey, you d-"

Kairi was cut short by Corey crying on a baby monitor. Isabel sighs and stands up straight. "Come on, let ahead back to bed. You can tell me in the morning." Isabel smiles and Kairi nods. The both head upstairs, Kairi gets back in bed and watches Isabel caring for Corey. She was rocking him in her arms and whispering things under her breath to him. Kairi couldn't help but smile.

He was glad that it was just a dream. Kairi was glad that his wife wasn't dead.

Isabel places Corey down in the cot after he fell asleep. She put a little soft blanket on him that went up to his waist. She bent down and kissed his head.

"Night bubba." Issy whispers and climbs back in bed. She pats her pillow so it is comfortable to sleep on then lays down on her back. Isabel reaches over and turns the lamp off.

Issy switches positions so she's now facing Kairi. She smiles and him and he smiles back, pulling her closer to him.

"Are you okay Kai?" Issy whispers. "Yeah. What makes you think I'm not?" He slightly chuckles while whispering. Isabel shrugs then sighs. "I don't know, it is just that when you came downstairs and saw me in the kitchen you look a bit... I don't know... shocked to see me."

"Did I? I'm sorry." "no need to apologize" Issy shakes her head. "What time you leaving for work in the morning?"

"Half seven." Kairi replies and Isabel nods. "And then I finish at eight because I said I'd do a double shift."

"Okay. Did you know Corey starts nursery in August?" Issy smiles. "Yes, Issy. Yes I did." Kairi giggles. "Only one more month then my baby will be off the nursery."

"I know it's gone so fast. I can remember when you were giving birth. Gosh you were a mess." He laughs. Issy lightly slaps his chest and laughs as well. "What do you expect Kai? Me to be perfectly fine?" Isabel then sighs at a memory she thought of in her head. "I just wish Marco was here to see his godchild grow up."

"Yeah we all do."

"You think Robert, Jake, Roshaun, Alvaro and the others will get in contact?"

"Doubt it, but hey it is what is."
"Yeah, it is what it."

After a while the both fell asleep cuddling.

Hey guys!!

I need to make things clear about this sequel and the epilogue at the end of summer fling.

Ok so first of all some of the epilogue was Kairi's dream as you can see because Isabel isn't dead but Marco is. And Corey is three in this and as you can clearly see he hasn't took an interest in Alejandro's and Delilah's daughter yet, but there friends.

Second of all, I'm actually happy I'm doing a sequel because I thought that the book needed a sequel if you get me.

Anyways....
