~𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗿𝗱 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻'𝘀 𝗽𝗼𝘃~

After Isabel had got home and cooked dinner for her and Corey, she bathed him and put his pajamas on. They were both sitting on the sofa, lights off, blankets over them, Corey curled up in a ball leaning against his mom, watching 'The lion king'.

The movie soon finished and Corey has fell asleep. Isabel picked up Corey and put him to bed. She then walked back downstairs and her phone started ringing.

"Hello."

"Hey issy, I just phoned to tel you that the argument between me and Ale is over now. Turns out he wasn't cheating and he was planning a surprise for me."

"Oh yeah? What was the surprise?"

"An engagement ring. He was having money problems or something and made a deal with the company that he'd work there in the evenings to clean up and all that stuff."

"Wow, so are you guys like engaged now?"

"Well, no, not really, he hasn't got the ring yet but he said he should have it Bye the end of the week. He just left then to go work."

After a while of talking on the phone to each other they both said their goodbyes and hung up.

Isabel was currently flicking through the channels looking for something to watch, when the door opened. She turned her head and made eye contact with Kairi. She lightly smiled and stood up.

"How was work?"

"Oh so you're not gonna be a bitch now." He rolls his eyes.
Isabel scoffs and shakes her head. "Don't call me a bitch Kairi."

"Well that's what you were being over the phone calls." Kairi shrugs and sits down in the living room.

Issy shakes her head, following him and standing in front of Kairi. 'You wanna know why I was being such a "bitch"?' She asks.
'Please, enlighten me." He sarcastically spoke.

'Because, you left me in my own all day with a three year old child, there's nothing wrong with Corey or anything it can just get hard looking after him. Also you said you were working on your own? Who got your phone from the staff room? Until you can answer that question, don't talk to me."

Isabel walks upstairs to their shared room and starts getting ready for bed. She climbs in bed and opens her book and reading.

There was a knock at the bedroom door and Issy looked up to see a tired three year old rubbing his eyes.

"Hey sweetie." Isabel smiles. "What're you doing up?"

"I heard you and daddy arguing." He pouts and runs over to her jumping in bed next to her. Issy gives him a massive hug and rubs his head. "I'm sorry you had to hear that."

"Are you guys gonna break up?"

"Oh god no. Why do you think that?"

"Because you don't love each other anymore." Corey sighs.
"What're you on about Core? I love your daddy and your daddy loves me just every now and then we disagree on something."

"Ok. Is daddy gonna come up here?" Corey asks. Issy shrugs and sighs, closing her book. "I don't know sweetie. He hasn't had any food so he's probably making some to eat then he'll most likely come up here. And when he does I'll make sure he say goodnight to you."

Corey nods and hugs his mom then gets off the bed to go to his bedroom. "Night night mommy."
"Night night Corey."

Issy was starting to doze off when she felt a dip in the bed. She quickly turned around and saw Kairi sitting on the edge of the bed.

"Did you say goodnight to Corey?" She asks and he slightly moves his head to look at her for a second then turns it back to his phone. "Yeah." "Oh ok."

After a while Kairi decided to lie down. "I'm sorry." He mumbles.
"I'm sorry as well, I shouldn't have lashed out at you because you were doing a double shift to fill in for someone and get more money for the family, it was wrong." Issy shakes her head and turns her body to face Kairi.

"No issy, I should of said no to doing the shift all the way till ten, I have a wife at home and a son missing his dad. I'm the one that's sorry."

Isabel chuckles and hugs Kairi. He puts his arm around her and she lays her head on his chest.

"Who was the person that got your phone from the staff room?" Isabel wonders as she traces patterns onto his chest. "Alejandro. He stopped by telling me what happened between him and Delilah and said he wanted to get a drink so he went to the staff room and saw my phone ringing and then brought it to me."

"Ok." She nods and then sighs.
"What's wrong?"
"I just feel like... I don't know I just feel something off with Mattia."
"What? Why?" Kairi knits his eyebrows together confused.
"I had phoned his earlier to see if he knew were Alejandro went and he started like asking me if he could come over after work to watch a film with me and Corey. But I don't know it could just be me thinking all this." She shakes her head.

"I'll talk to him ok, but for now go to sleep." Kairi strokes her head and then kisses it. "Goodnight, I love you."

"I love you too."
