2. Moonflower

Present

You woke up to the sound of your clock, a marching band playing a tune of 'Turkish March' indicating that it is 3 AM. You have that fancy type of clock that would rang every 3 hours. Then you realised that you had fallen asleep in the sofa after the call with your bestfriend. You get up and walked to your bedroom.

The room was dark and noiseless, except for the air purifier that made white noises surrounding the room. Your husband was asleep and you carefully tiptoed to sleep beside him. You stared at his stunning profile, your hand slowly caressed his soft cheek as you smiled before your sleepiness drift you away to the dream world.

Thank God it's Friday, your long-awaited work-from-home day. Your job allows you to have the opportunity for content creators to work outside of the office in order to gain inspiration and creativity. You can adjust your working hours and able to sleep longer than usual.

Until you noticed the notification on your phone screen, saying '[Y/N]-sunbae, I'll arrive in 45 minutes.' by no one else than your adorable junior, Choi Soobin. You groaned and gets up to get yourself ready.

You took a quick warm shower, brushed your teeth, curled your hair, did your morning skin care routine and simple makeup, and finally picked your outfit. Lavender blouse would be match the gloomy weather outside, as you paired with denim jeans. You took your medium-sized tote bag to place your laptop, wallet, lipstick and phone inside.

You walked down your stair to find your husband nowhere to be seen in the dining room. He would usually wake up earlier than you and make a simple breakfast, consisting of a toast, sunny side up and 2 slices of bacon paired with a cup of Earl Grey tea. What a fancy English breakfast that he made. However it seems that he skipped breakfast today. There is no scent of earl grey tea that usually lingered in the room, neither the crumbs of the toast because your husband would clumsily take the toast out hastily while it's still hot.

You assumed that he is really busy to the point he even skip breakfast. You took 2 slices of bread, spread it with strawberry jam and poured yourself a cup of water. You decided not to drink coffee, since you'll be going to a coffee shop. While waiting for Soobin, you texted your husband,

'Tae, did you skip breakfast today?'
'Let me know if you want me to prepare breakfast for you tomorrow!'

A honk signalled the arrival of your junior in your house. You quickly slipped into your black flat shoe and locked your front door. You turned to see Soobin in a casual attire, flannel shirt with a white T-shirt underneath, dark blue jeans tightened with a belt and black Fila athletic shoe to complete the look. Nevertheless, he also wore glasses today, making him look younger.

"Morning, sunbae." He greeted you and open the front passenger seat's door.

"Whoa. You look like an idol, Soobin-ah." You said before climbing inside the car. He gave you a sheepish smile as a response and headed to the driver seat.

It was a nice 30 minutes drive to the café. The radio was playing most of your favourite songs, as it lighten up your mood, also there is no traffic despite it being Friday. You arrived at your destination, 'Moonflower Café'. You know about this café through Seulgi-onnie, when the three of you (ah yes, Jimin is also there) went to visit Sooyoung and Irene's new boutique grand opening day. They talked about how good the café is, in terms of the interior design, the quality of the foods there and the customer services. You saw the reviews in Naver were flooded with positive feedbacks, and you think that this café needs more recognition.

Soobin parked the car and instructed you to come in first. You did so and admiring the simple warm exterior aesthetic vibe before opening the wooden door that prompt a small bell to chime. A waitress notice you entering the café and approached you immediately.
