 The Motor City Machine Guns would go on to defeat Sammy and Alex at Clash of Champions due to another head injury, which after checking out at the trainers room it was decided that Alex would need time off. later that week on smackdown Alex would make an important announcement.

Friday night smackdown  

Cole: Ladies and gentleman welcome to Friday night smackdown, now due to an accident in the ring that occurred this past Sunday at Clash of Champions the Dark Carnival were unable to retain the smackdown tag team championships and tonight Alex Draven asked for some time to speak to make an important announcement regarding his injury.

Graves: I wonder what he's gonna say Cole.

Later on in the night Alex came out to his new theme 

But what made fans suspect that this announcement is serious is that Alex came out in jeans, a leather jacket and his mask but he didn't come alone, he came out with Rhea and their daughter Rose who the wwe universe would meet for the very first time. And when Alex went to speak he took his mask off and for the very first time people got to see the man behind the makeup.

Alex: Hello wwe universe, for those of you who don't know me, I'm Alex Draven, this is my wife Rhea Ripley and this is our daughter Rose. Now for those who do know, I suffered a serious head injury at Clash of Champions and the doctors said that I don't have much time left on my wrestling career, so I've decided that it's time to hang up the mask for good. 

The crowd started chanting please don't go

Alex: As much as I would love to stay I have to take my health into consideration. This isn't Alex Draven the character speaking, this is Jericho Drummer the man behind the mask speaking when I say I love each and everyone of you people in this arena and watching at home, and that goes for the people who don't like me either. But like one of my heroes once said, this isn't goodbye it's just see you later.

After his speech the whole smackdown roster came out and applauded him while his biggest rival Logan Danger came out and gave him a hug, and to his amazement Corey Taylor came out to hug him while the fans in attendance would give him a standing ovation.

The very next year Alex would go into the hall of fame and would later go on to teach students at the performance center. Him and Rhea would also go on to have triplets named Tommy, Eric, and Ricky. Sammy would continue to compete as a member of the Dark Carnival later becoming the leader and adding Raven and Abyss to the group. He would eventually rename the stable to Damage Inc. out of respect for his son Alex because it didn't feel right to have the Dark Carnival without him.

Well, that was the end of this story, I have plans for another one but I'm not sure when it's gonna happen, so just keep your eyes out for a new story sometime in the future. This is goodbye and see you later from Alex Draven aka Jericho
