It was an early morning in Ocean Shores.  Otto, Reggie, their dad, Raymundo, and Sam were helping Twister and his family pack for their vacation in Niagara Falls.

"I can't believe you and your family are going on vacation, Twist," said Otto.  "It's totally crazy."

"Yeah, tell me about it, dude," said Twister.  "You guys will need someone to take my place for the street hockey semifinals that are in one week."

"Don't sweat it, Twister," said Reggie.  "We'll find someone who's good enough to help us out.  Right, Otto?"

Otto nodded his head.

"I'm really gonna miss you guys," Twister said.

"Us too," Sam said.

Twister's mom, Sandy, put the last suitcase in the car.  Now everything was packed and ready to go.  "Whew!  That's the last suitcase.  Well, looks like we're off.  Come on, Maurice!  We don't wanna be late!"

Lars, Twister's older brother, ran toward Twister and kicked him in the calf.  "Yeah, Maurice, come on!"

Twister bent down to rub his leg.

"Wow, what a dork," Reggie said.

"You can say that again," Sam agreed.

"Well," Twister said, "looks like this is goodbye for a bit.  We'll keep in touch."

He, Reggie, Otto, and Sam formed a circle and did their secret handshake.  "Woogity, woogity, woogity!"

"Good luck, bro," Otto said, giving Twister a high-five.

"Thanks, Ottoman."  Twister hopped into the car with his family.  And soon, Twister's dad, Raoul, turned on the ignition and drove off to the airport.

"Man, I'm gonna really miss our cameraman," said Sam.

"Yeah, me too," said Reggie.  "It's too bad that he can't do the semifinals."

"Yeah, it stinks," said Otto.  "We're gonna have to find someone to replace Twister for the time being."

Later that day, Otto, Reggie, and Sam searched for kids who would make a great fit for the street hockey semifinals.  They even put up flyers around town and on the internet.  However, they had little to zero luck finding a good replacement.

The three kids decided to take a break and go skateboarding at Madtown.

"Man, what a bummer!  There's no one in town to help us out!" Otto complained.

Sam scratched his chin.  "Well, I guess we could try to-"

"Look, there's nobody to help us!" Otto interrupted.

"Otto, just chill, dude," Reggie said.  "There's gotta be someone who's willing to replace Twister."

"Yeah, there'd better be," Otto said, "because this is getting totally bogus!"

Reggie, Otto, and Sam decided to look for recruits again.  But still no luck.

That evening, Otto felt frustrated that he and the others haven't found someone to take Twister's place.  He was in the living room watching a surfboarding event on TV when Reggie came with some exciting news.

"Hey, I think I found someone who would help us out, Rocket Boy!" she said.

"Really?!  Sweet!" Otto exclaimed.

"She told me she's coming tomorrow morning," Reggie said.

"Wait, you got a GIRL as a recruit?" Otto asked.

"It's probably not just some GIRL, little bro."

"Whatever.  I hope she's helpful, though."

The next morning, while Reggie and Otter were having breakfast downstairs, the doorbell rang.

"I've got it," Reggie said, getting up and heading for the front door.  It must be Twister's replacement, she thought.

Reggie took a deep breath before answering.  Then, without a doubt, she opened the door.  Reggie was surprised that the person who rang the doorbell appeared to be a pale blonde-haired teenage girl.

"Like, hi," the teen said.

"Um...hi?" Reggie said back, surprised.

Otto was behind his sister and also couldn't believe who he saw.  "Um, Reggie?  Is that the person you replaced for Twister?"

"L-l-looks like it, Rocket Boy."

"You're joking, right?"

Reggie slowly shook her head no to her brother.  She turned to the teenage girl.

"What's your name?" she asked.

"Leni.  Leni Loud," the teen replied.  "I heard you totally need someone to help you."

"Yeah, that's about it," Reggie said.

"PERFECT!" Leni exclaimed.  She excitedly entered inside the Rockets' residence and wrapped her arms around Otto and Reggie.  "I can't wait to totes know you guys!"

Reggie and Otto nervously looked at each other.

Reggie thought, I really hope she means well to us.
