Fear and Doubt

Frown laughed evilly as he ran, looking back and sticking his tongue out at Puppycorn as he tried to catch up to him. Brock followed from behind, panting already after such a short run, but still kept going as he looked back and noticed an enraged Unikitty not too far behind Puppycorn.

He yelled at Frown "bro! I think it is better if you don't provoke them!".

Frown came to a halt right next to the abandoned throne, climbing on it and then jumping off it to reach the old drapes behind it, then started climbing "shut up dude! Just help me get that shinny thing! Finders keepers!"

Brock just stayed next to the throne panting, before dropping to the floor, while Puppycorn ran past him, and started climbing the drapes going after Frown "Then it means it is mine! I found it! Then I get to keep it!".

Frown and Puppycorn were climbing quick enough to get out of even Hawkodile's reach by the time he and Uni caught up to them, Hawk just stood next to Unikitty and an exhausted Brock, looking up at Puppycorn as he went further up chasing Master Frown.

Uni growled "Puppycorn! Get down here, you could get hurt!" She attempted to start climbing herself, but was stopped by Hawkodile "no! wait! wait! These things won't support your weight!".

Unikitty looked back at him "then do something! I can't fly there and bring them down! I cant support their weight either!".

Hawkodile stepped forward, grabbing the old drapes and looking down at Uni "be ready to catch your brother..!" with that said he pulled as hard as he could.

Frown felt the tugging and looked down, his eyes widening as he noticed what the royal bodyguard was doing "Hey! Hey! You big brute! stop that this instant!".

Hawkodile just ignored him, pulling much harder and bringing the drapes down, tearing them right out of their hooks. Frown and Puppycorn fell with them. Luckily for Puppycorn, his big sister was there to catch him, Frown however just landed on the cold and hard rock floor, the huge drapes slowly and gently falling on top of the group.

They all scrambled to get out from underneath, coughing as dust flew in the air around them with every move they made.

Finally free from the old, dirty drapes, Frown yelled at Hawkodile. "YOU BRUTE! YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN US KILLED!". He stepped towards him, wiping the dust off his cloak and getting ready to fight the much taller and stronger royal guard who was waiting with his arms crossed.

However before he could step any closer, Unikitty stood between them, facing Frown, her fur red and glowing, as if about to burst into flames "ENOUGH! You brought this upon yourself Frown! We are in this together, you said it yourself!".

Frown rolled his eyes and looked away, crossing his arms "this is why things never worked between us, you never take my side...!"

Unikitty's horn burst into flames as she lunged for his neck in anger "THAT'S IT!! I'VE HAD IT!".

Before Unikitty could even touch him, Puppycorn spoke in a trembling voice "S-Sis...?" He said.

Uni's angry expression faded as she looked back at her beloved little brother, who was cowering with Brock behind Hawkodile, who himself looked shocked. Trembling, the little pup, with ears down, pointed up at something in front of them with a shaky hand.

Unikitty turned to look at whatever had her friends in shock, her eyes widened and she gasped, taking a couple of steps back as her fur turned back to the usual pink. Frown opened his eyes and noticed Uni backing off, he tilted his head before looking at behind him, his jaw dropped.

Before them stood a colossal statue, made from the same black metal as the throne and the armors they had encountered. It depicted a monstrous, armor clad unicorn, holding a gigantic war hammer and standing on top of what seemed a mountain of skulls, swords and defeated enemies. It was covered in vines and had moss growing in some spots, but other than that and a bit of dust, it seemed to be in perfect conditions, it didn't even have rusted spots. It was now clear that the moonlight coming through the windows and hitting it caused that glittering Puppycorn and Frown saw earlier.
