The royal siblings and their unwanted companion, Master Frown, ventured deeper into the secret section of the lab they had just uncovered, walking through wide hallways. Huge machines, shelves full of random tools and vials, all full of strange liquids or random objects, where all around them.
Though it resembled the rest of the lab, it had clear differences, it was all less... colorful. It was also pretty dark, being poorly illuminated by small, dim lights on the ceiling. The machines there were also different, instead of having a bright, metallic, light blue coloration, these were all different shades of grey... dark grey, and their lights were not as colorful either, most being either white, red or green.
It was also pretty quiet in there, the only sounds that accompanied the trio were the sound their footsteps, the distant sounds of other machines back in the normal section of the lab, which got lower as they went deeper, and the electric hum of the machines around them.
"Well, now this place is something else... I haven't seen a place THIS depressing, not even in Frowntwon..." said Frown as he looked around, seeming quite unimpressed.
Unikitty and Puppycorn didn't pay much attention to Frown as he rambled on, staying close to one another, the royal siblings were currently in a mix of shock and worry.
Unikitty more than her younger brother.
"What... what is this place big sis?" Asked Puppycorn with clear fear in his shaking voice.
Unikitty took a moment to answer, as she herself gave a look around. "I have no idea little bro... this is all new to me as well..." she replied.
"Well, whatever it is, the good Doc went through a lot of trouble to hide it from everyone..." added Frown as Unikitty looked back at him, he just raised an eyebrow at her.
"You are right..." she replied.
"I just wish I knew why that stranger pointed us to this direction. I am sure it was not just to find this place!" Said Puppycorn as he looked down at the map he still had in his hand.
Uni couldn't agree more, she already suspected that whoever that intruder was, wanted more than them finding this hidden section of the lab, she knew they were meant to find something else, but she had no clue as to what it could even be.
Thought her thoughts were briefly interrupted as the group arrived at the end of the hall, entering a large, dark square room. They took a look around, scanning the room, quickly noticing weird machinery and massive shelves organized around them. There were large pipes coming from and going through walls, the ceiling and floor. Some lightly shaking as whatever liquid or gas they transported moved at a fast but steady pace. They also were quick to notice that was no other exit or path to take other than the hall they came through.
Frown shrugged and let out a heavy sight of dissatisfaction. "Well.. to me it seems she just wanted a private place away from you all...".
Unikitty took a few steps forward as she looked around and shook her head.
"No... there has to be more...". She turned around to face her brother and Frown. "Lets split and search the place, there is something hidden here, I am sure of it!".
Puppycorn gave her sister a determined nod while Frown gave a reluctant but compliant eye roll, if he was going to help, he'd do it for his own amusement. Uni gave them a nod amd the group split to search around the room. Different things in the room catching each of the members' attention.
For Frown it was the large shelves to their left, which were filled with jars containing... strange stuff; bones, organs of many different animals, dissected critters, some were full of what seemed like black sparkle matter chunks. There were also books with strange titles, all written on strange glyphs he had never seen before. His curiosity spiked as he now searched with more curiosity and interest.
