hues of blue and white scattered across the sky, blending into one another as if an artist painted them. the clouds looking like cotton as they sat amidst the blue sky. his pink lips parted slightly in awe, as delicate droplets of rain touched his skin. his long lashes wet, as they protected the rain from entering his brown doe eyes. drops falling down gently as they rushed down his pale cheeks. blinking rapidly as he watched the rain fall down on him, he smiled brightly, his cheeks rising with the action as his eyes creased.

he didn't care that the rain fell down on him, soaking his bright yellow and black striped shirt and light blue overalls. his white converses now soaked and muddy from the puddles he walked in along the way. his fingers grasped the end of his sleeves, bunching them together as if he was excited by the rain. he paid no attention to the passing eyes that judged him and looked at him like he was an alien.

he looked down from the sky, suddenly remembering where he was going. shaking his head, his red locks swayed side to side, drops of water escaping them. he started skipping happily, splashing in the puddles that crossed his path. he was a grown man, but he didn't care that he was acting like a child, as he heard from the passing strangers who looked at him. he continued his journey, ending up at the park. the trees moved in the wind, as the green leaves were shaken off and floated to the ground below.

he halted under a tree, shuffling his feet against the wet, dewy grass before he suddenly laid down on his back facing the sky. his arms were spread widely across the ground as if he had opened his wings, his legs straight and his feet pointing to the sky as he moved them side to side against each other.

he closed his eyes, taking in the smell of the wet earth, as water droplets fell off the tree above him in soft movements. "he needs serious help," a lady that was walking along the sidewalk near the park spoke. he had heard this, suddenly feeling a little self-conscious. unlike a few moments ago where he didn't care for what others were saying, this comment bothered him. he knew he was a little strange, stranger than most, but he didn't think there was anything wrong with it. he squeezed his eyes shut, as his chest started feeling heavy, his mind filled with more thoughts that the lady had provoked.

he brought his hands up to his chest, rubbing it softly to ease the sudden pain he felt, taking shaky deep breathes to calm down, focusing on the sound of the rain hitting the ground and the smell of the wet dirt that invaded the air around him. the ground suddenly vibrated, the sound of footsteps approaching him caused him to raise his head and look around him.

the first thing he spotted was pale white hand stretched out before him. silver rings covered long thin fingers, as water dripped down the large palm of the man's hand. "hongjoongie," the man above him cooed, causing him to smile brightly, and make eye contact with the dark eyes that looked back down at him. he quickly reached his hand and placed it into the other man's hand. his hand much smaller in comparison to the other man, as it was half the size. the man chuckled at the other's smile and raised him to his feet.

he quickly hugged the man, wrapping his soaking sleeves around the other's black leather jacket. he rested his head on the other's chest, as he was much shorter in comparison, hearing his steady heartbeat. his arms squeezed the man's waist, as the man held him close by the waist and chuckled softly running a hand through his red locks. "hwa hwa," he muttered softly into his chest, inaudible to anyone around him except the man holding him. he moved back slightly, looking up at the man that was holding him, his doe eyes examining his face. the man, hwa hwa, who was also known as seonghwa, had shiny black hair that was styled in an undercut, as a couple of strands rested against his forehead. his eyes were cat-like, sleek but dark as they sparkled while he back at him. he had plump pink lips, and slender face, his cheeks bones, and jaw were defined sharply. he was paler than the other, and slightly older too. he wore earrings in both ears, a silver cross that dangled in one ear and a small but shiny stud that was in the other.

"joongieee, i missed you," he spoke softly, as he smiled at the younger. hongjoong looked back at him, his arms still wrapped around the older. he smiled, his eyes becoming soft crescents and his cheeks puffing up against the bone. seonghwa pinched his cheeks softly, causing the younger to pout and unwrap his arms from his waist, smacking the older's chest with his sleeve covered hand. the older just laughed at the younger's tactics, before asking, "why are you out in the rain again joongie? you know you'll get sick again", scolding him slightly as he asked. hongjoong just flicked the older's forehead in response, not giving him an answer.

the older was aware of how much the younger loved coming out in the rain, often finding him in this park when he wasn't home. and many times hongjoong would get sick after due to the rain, having seonghwa take care of him. to any stranger passing them, it'd seem they were a couple, but they were best friends, brothers. the two knowing each other since they were young, always doing everything together.

seonghwa gave hongjoong a knowing look, causing the younger to stomp his feet on the ground child-like. the older dismissed the action, he was used to hongjoong's child-like actions. instead he wrapped his arm around the younger's neck and brought him closer. "come on let's go home now, yeosang was whining about missing you", he spoke, reaching into his pocket taking out his phone that was vibrating. he looked down at the phone in his hand as hongjoong just hummed in response, leaning over to peak at the phone which was suddenly moved out of view. seonghwa pinched his side, "hey, don't look at my phone joongie", he scolded, the younger only smiled cheekily in response before they both started walking back home in the rain.
