this story has two ideas mixed into one.
from the time the characters are born, and up to the time when they are 15, the soulmates can only talk through thoughts and everyday have to make choices that reflect getting to know them better.
but when they turn 16, everything changes, everyone's personality matches up with a certain color, and everyone has to wear the color they are given.
only two people are given the same color, for example if somebody was given yellow, only one other person has yellow and those two people are meant for each other.
and when they find each other, they give the other person something (in their color!) meaningful to them. (jewelry, or something like that)
