I woke up, it is time, I have to leave for the airport. Tomorrow I'll go to my new school, I have to travel from my hometown to Vancouver, Canada. Why? My father got a better job there. I know it sounds crazy but it doesn't bother me at all. New school, new friends, new house, new neighborhood. My mom is really excited, my brothers too, we all love to travel.

As we get to the airport I don't really know what I'm feeling. I'm excited, sad but then happy and very excited. We walk, get on the plane, I start listening to Calpurnia and Mac Demarco, I hope I go to a concert, I like their music.

We get off the plane, and my mom drive's us to our new house. Since the first look I gave to it I knew it was one of those big and cool houses.

-I get to choose my bedroom first! I say when I came out of the car.

-Moooom I want to choose first! My youngest brother screamed at my mom.

-She said it first, but don't worry, every room is the same, just the location change. Our mom said.

I walked into the house, it wasn't that big but it wasn't small. I walk to the corridor and find the stairs. When I get to the second floor, I see four doors, I have a small look at every room, but the third one got me. It has a big window to the front yard and the biggest closet. We start unboxing and setting up everything. Until my mom says "Kids lets have a break and go check your schools so you familiarise and you don't get lost on your first days!". When we got to the car and I waited for the others to come, I started analyzing the neighborhood. There are lots of houses, but almost the same architecture so I think everyone has a basement like ours.

When we arrive at my school there are lots of people at the entrance. Before leaving the car my mom says:

- Y/N, I'm sorry but the appointments for your youngest brother and yours got mixed so they are at the same time, don't you mind doing it alone? It's ok if you don't want to go alone.

This has two sides, the first is that I get to really connect with the people here and maybe meet new friends, and the second is that I don't even know where I live or how to get home. But hey, we only live once, right?

The principal starts to show me the school, lots of students say hi to him, and then hi to me. When he shows me the second floor, he says out of nowhere:

-And now, we will meet your classmates. They are in the last hour of the day, science. Present yourself to the class and if you want to stay until it ends you can.

-Ok, thanks. Which classroom it is?

-Here, come in.

He enters first, they were watching a movie, I don't know about what, they turn on the light as I walk in. The first face I see is the one on the front seat, a boy turning back to speak with another boy. Curly black hair. that's all I saw because he was turned backward.

- Hello everyone! Sorry to interrupt your science class but I have ana announcement to make. I want to present Y/N, she's your new classmate, she got here recently so be nice and kind to her. Well, I have to go do some other things, Y/N you can stay if you want. Said the principal very clear while everyone was looking at me.

-Hi Y/N, stay a bit so we can get to know you, tell us something about you! Said the science teacher.

-Hello everyone. I didn't know what to say at that moment. My name is Y/N, I'm 16, and I just got here today.

-Why don't your classmates ask you some things? Everyone make a question and raise your hand.

No one raised their hand, an awkward silence came to the classroom, some group of girls on the back were giggling, meanwhile, a group of boys was just looking at me and then whispering.

-Well, you can go take a seat over there, we just started to see this film. She pointed at that one table, where was the boy with curly black hair, the tables were on pairs.

I said ok and walked directly to my place, I can feel the look those girls are giving to me. My face went red, I know that kind of girls, they are mean to everyone who isn't popular or like them, fake. The boy was noting something on his notebook, ripped it into a small paper, and slowly passed it by the table to me. What was that? I was scared to open it, why if it was something mean? but it also could be something nice. Maybe I'm overthinking. He didn't even was looking at me. I had to open it.

-Hi. was written on that little paper, with a baby writing.

-Hey. I wrote back.

-Do you want to hang out later? I can show you around. He wrote back.

-Yeah sure, let me tell my mom.

-Just follow me when the bell rings.

-Ok.

--when the bell rings--

-Hey, come with me, I have to leave some stuff on my locker before we go.

-Ok.  I looked at him on the face for the first time. His eyes were shining and gave good vibes. He was really cute, but I think I recognize him from somewhere. I can't remember right now but it seems super familiar. As we walked on the corridor he always checked for me to be behind him because there were lots of students. When we arrived at his locker, guess what, those girls were waiting for us. I panicked, but he was the only one who spoke.

-Hey Finnie, how are you?

-Hi, I'm very good, and you? He said coldly while opening and putting things on his locker.

-Good too, thanks. She looked directly at me. Oh, who's your new friend?

-She's Y/N, you saw her in our class, right? She's new here and she's my friend.

-Hi, nice to meet you, what's you-

-Alice, Finn's girlfriend, nice to meet you too. I could feel her feelings just by looking at her.

-No, we   -pointing at her and him-   are nothing, we haven't and won't be, never. Youll have to excuse us, we have better things to do.  And stop calling me Finnie. Bye.

He took me by my hand, and we went outside the school, where my mom was waiting for me.
