" Care!" Gabe yelled from the end of the hallway pushing his way to Caroline. But before she could jump into his arms she felt a pain in her back and blacked out.
(20 minutes later at the hospital) Caroline awakes form her hours of sleep she had fallen into after being beat up pretty bad. She panicked for a second when she thought about Gabe, but one of the nurses came in seconds after and said, " They beat you up pretty bad, oh and your friend is okay, he broke his wrist trying to punch one of those guys." Caroline Sighed in relief that Gabe was ok, but she couldn't stop thinking about what had happened. She stared off into space for a moment but right when the nurse said, " Ok Mrs. wood I am going to have to examine your arm here for a second." Caroline smiled at her and said, " You can call me Caroline." The nurse smiled back at her and then said, " looks like a fracture to me, you will have to wear a sling on your arm for about two weeks, ok?" Caroline was happy that it was only a fracture and said back to her, " Okay, thank you." The nurse walked back about and Caroline couldn't help but shed a tear from her left eye. It wasn't because of the pain she was physically feeling it was just the fact that she was hospitalized because she was herself at school. She began to cry harder and harder not realizing that there was another patient in the room. Carline heard a curtain swing open from the bed next to her to reveal a girl with dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and medium fair skin. Caroline was in such shock because she had no idea anyone else as there. The beautiful girl made a confused face and Caroline and said, " You... you okay?" Caroline wipes here eyes with her none fractured arm and said, " Yeah I am good." The girl said, " I overheard and I am sorry what happened, something similar happened to me after I came out." Caroline slightly smiled because she finally felt as if she wasn't so alone after all. Caroline smiled and then the girl said, " Hey could I maybe get your number?" Caroline was surprised that this sweet beautiful girl wanted HER number, but she didn't hesitate to say, " Sure it's, 7246997333." The girl typed the digits into her phone and said, " Thanks, when I get out of here I will text you for sure." Caroline smiled then asked, " Wait why are you in here?" The girl look at her and said, " Just a minor car crash." Caroline felt sorry and said, " Well I hope you get better, and maybe when you do we could get coffee sometime?" The girl giggled a bit and said, " I'd like that, I am kiara by the way." Caroline was embarrassed that she forgot to ask for her name so she smiled and said, " I am Caroline." From that Moment Caroline finally realized that life isn't all that bad.
