Blood stained Water

Chapter 8.5

"Really Aido? Broken plates, - saucers, - tea cups and a -flowerpot. You sir: have a problem," Luna states as she eyes the Moon Dorm boys carry out the boxes of broken objects from Aido's room chatting amongst themselves.

She had just finished her last room for the day. Alone, since Zero flunked out on the inspection. The boy was prone to a temper and she knew that. Especially now, she was counting down the days and taking note of the landmarks until the shows finale. Or until Zero's Level-E side became more... problematic.

All doomflags should be accounted for.

She paced herself down the corridors then down the stairs until she heard a spit of laughter behind her as she was about to make a B-line for the door. There wasn't anyone to be seen on the stairs nor the floors between them but the voice still spoke. The lights were a low glow and Luna frantically searched for a physical awnser.

"So the rumors were true! There is someone from 0-6-3-7-1 here."

"What the hell?"

The outline of a person traced itself on the white walls, illuminated by the firey yellow moonglow. Luna couldn't see the shadow behind her. She was sure she could hear a pin drop in the silence.
She moved closer to the couches; there had be a candleholder or a flowerpot or anything that she can use to defend herself. Her breaths pumped heavy on her lungs it almost felt sore to breath.
Diffrent questions started racing through her head. She could barely finish one then the other would intterupt.

"No need to be scared little one. You'll get all your questions awnsered eventually~" The voice was deafing in her mind, her eyes couldn't find the source. Every branch that scratched a surface, every window that creaked every minor sound in the silence afterward seemed to find a way to make her spine crackle with emotion.

"Luna~"

A hand grabbed onto her shoulder and she flung around and hit the figure with a nearby object. They were on the ground and the smell of fresh blood swung around the air. Luna's arms were outstretched and they felt cold.

Trembling. She was trembling.

"Stay away from me." She muttered in a static-sounding voice. Slowly but surely the lights started glowing brighter and the figure became more and more visible.
"Senri?"
Her hands retracted towards her and the clink! indicated that she dropped her weapon. A candleholder.
"Senri!" She got down beside him and checked his head.
"Shit, I'm so sorry. I-I don't know what came over me. That looks bad." The blood fell down his face. 'His perfect little model face.'
"Come on. Please wake up. The others are gonna kill me if they find out. How do you hide a bod-"
"Shhh- you're making the room spin." Shiki weakly lifted up his arm and rested it on his face before hissing and retracting his hand away from his forehead.

"What happened here?"

Kain and Kaname both stood at the tip of the stairs. Kain noticed Shiki then the broken candle and the bloodied holder. "Shiki, what the hell?" Both boys rushed down the stairs. Kain offered Shiki a hand which he took with delight.

"I'm so sorry Shiki. The lights were out so you kinda... scared me." Luna profusely appoligizes before asking if she could help ice the wound. He refused and tried to do it himself but failed as he got dizzy. "I'll take it."

"So he snuck up on you? Was that it?"
Luna nodded. "Pretty much yeah. The lights were super dim too. I couldn't see a thing and I heard someone talking to me but... it was probably just my imagination."

"Are you sure? Your hands are shaking an awful lot for something you imagined," Kaname commented as he saw Luna trying to hide her hands in her sides.

"How's your head?"
"Hurts."
"Yeah... where's your kitchen? I'd feel bad if I didn't atleast try to help undo my damage."

Kain gave her the directions and she was on her way. The dorms were relatively quite, the others most likely keeping themselves busy in their rooms. Not even 5 minutes later Luna came back with a cup. The liquid was a dark brown thick substance.

"Drink this it'll help for the aches." Shiki stared at the drink through thin eyes.
"What's in it?"
"You wanna get better? Drink it."
He stared at it for a moment longer before bringing the cold ceramic to his lips. He felt alot brighter after just a taste so finishing wasn't that much of a task.
"It there blood in there?" Kaname questions.

"Yes. Siren blood has... unique properties," She pressed a finger on the top of the bandaid on her thumb.
"Oh and cinnamon and honey."
"That explains the sweetness." Shiki murmured as the empty cup sat in his hands.
He felt so serene with every second. The bulging pain it his head quickly weakened until it completely disappeared. The taste of the blood from the concoction was numbed by the cinnamon and honey. But he still loved the taste.

"The bleeding and ache should stop now. But it'll probably leave a scar." Kain removed the ice and there it was: a scar. It was small and just below the hairline so Shiki hopped his modeling agency wouldn't notice it.

"Well uh- I'm going to get going. Sorry again Shiki." Luna bowed before she made her way to the door. Behind it was a raging snowstorm and alot of cold.
"Damn it's snowing already? I thought they forecasted it for later in the week."

And that's how Luna Yushori ended up in one of the spare bedrooms of the Moon Dorms. And it was right next to Shiki's room too. She felt so embarrassed about what happened earlier.

Her eyelids fluttered shut once again but before she could fully relax she heard a sound from outside the window. Luna shot up in the bed and loomed over the feeling, the unfamiliar bedsheets crunched under her hand. After scanning hastily around the window she sighed in relief. Something didn't feel right. Was she just paranoid after the incident earlier? Or was-

"I need coffee." A huff left her as she switched on the bedside lamp. Her bare feet tapped on the wood floors as she made her way down the stairs and into the kitchen. The kettle nosel clicked shut and Luna started preparing her cup. 'Coffee will help, right?'

"You making coffee. Can I have a cup too?" Ruka spoke leaning on the door frame. Luna had passed the group on her way down but didn't pay much attention to them.
"Sure. Coffee or did you have something else in mind?" Luna grabbed another cup.
"Some tea would be nice." Ruka grabbed the small box of tea from the cubert.
