3rd person POV

The young looking brunette couple have a relaxing stroll on the beach. These two were vampires and not just any vampires but purebloods. They were the Kuran's. One of the last purebloods in the vampire world. Both walk elagantly by each others side.
"Haruka dear, what is that? The shimmer there in the shallows up ahead?" Yuri asks her husband, pointing at the blue shimmer peaking out of the water. The vampire glaces in the direction his wife had explained. There was a blue-turquoise shimmer visible on the water surface and long locks floating around, covering something. The body of a young child.
"Stay here Yuri, I shall investigate." The tall brunette male orders with a serious voice. The man walks into the shallow water making his bare feet wet and then cuffs his pants as he got a little deeper into the salty water. He advances behind the blue shimmer as its shape was now clear. It was a tail? And not just any tail... a fish tail.
As he inspected the figure he lifted the curls away from the creature to find a small girl. Probably around 5 years old.

The man looked over his shoulder to find his gaze meeting his wife's worried eyes staring back at him.
"It seems we have found... A mermaid."

(Kid) Kaname's POV

A knock on the door brought my attention out of the book in my hands. I felt it was mother and fathers presence. 'They're back already, it hasn't even been 20 minutes yet?'
I think as the door opens revealing both my parents. My father had another small figure in his hands that was wrapped in my mothers shawl but what shocked me is what I saw that was attached to the figure.

'A tail?'

3rd person POV

"Kaname dear, can you please go fetch me some water and a towel?" Yuri asked her son with worry laced in her voice. "Yes mother."
The brunette haired boy awnsers, hurrying to the kitchen to grab the supplies.

The man gently places her fragile body on the sofa before leaving for the study upstairs.

The woman got a chair and sat next to the girl to treat the girls fever. When they found her moments ago on the beach she had a high fever and was passes out, well... still is.
Kaname re-enters the room with a towel and water and sets it on the couches side table. The mother started wetting the cloth and placed it on the sleeping girls forehead.

"Who-uh. What is she mother?" Asks the young Kuran standing next to his loving mother.
"We think she's a mermaid of sorts. We found her on our walk on the beach." The deep crimson eyed woman awnsers.
"Kaname dear, can you please keep the towel on her forehead? I need to speak to your father." The mother says. The woman left handing the girl over to his care. He found himself to be quite curious about the girl. I mean how could he not? She's a mermaid for crying out loud!
For a world with vampires there has never been any mermaids. (which is kinda surprising if you ask me)

The boy was brought out of his thoughts as the tailed girl flinched slightly, her features looking disturbed asif having a nightmare. He flinched slightly at this but then tenderly hushing her making her calm down. He sighed in relief as the girl did not wake.
Kaname studied her soft and childish features, seeing her (h \ c) hair frame her beautiful face.

In the study...

"I can't find anything on mermaids anywhere in here." The Kuran male said feeling so what frustrated while (kinda) keeping his cool demeanor.
"I think we should call him. See if he knows anything." Yuri sugeusts with her calm smile. Her husband nods at this and reaches for the phone on the study table.
