CHAPTER 10 :
MIDSUMMER TRAGEDY
the summer of '89 was
filled with rottenly sweet love and
sun shine dipped bodies drenched
with wet kisses. with cocoa colou-
-red skin and melted popsicles
dripping from acrylic painted nails
down to nimble fingers, long walks
by the beach under the blazing
heat.
loved bloom during the
summer of '89, under the old
willow tree by the waters with
koi fishes swimming freely. used
converse with white cotton socks
and ripped jean shorts, and a
pastel blue shirt placed on her
honey glazed body. the water
glistening under the setting sun.
and exactly 5:45 pm that one
summer afternoon, they shared
their first kiss.
