First Love: Chapter One

Chapter One: Childhood Friend

"Oh wow you two look so cute together!" Girls sequealed as one of the girls with blonde hair showed a picture of her and her boyfriend from her cellphone. Smiling, she nodded in agreement and turned the phone back at her to stare at, what she thought, was the perfect picture she has ever taken with her boyfriend, Jeremy.

The other girls looked behind them. "Sam, do you have any pictures with Kevin?" They asked and the girl who sat behind them, frowned and shook her head in disgust. "No and I never want to take one with him. We're not in that kind of relationship and I never want to be in that kind of relationship with him." She said.

All the girls looked shock which annoyed her even more. It was already bad enough that they had to ask her that ridiculous and ubsurd question that gave her disgust.

"How can you say you don't want that kind of relationship with him? You don't want to date him?" One girl said and another nodded, agreeing.

"Yeah! Kevin is sweet, especially to you, smart, popular, very athletic and not to mention, he is very HANDSOME!"

Getting up from her chair, Sam grabbed her books and rolled her eyes. "If you want him, go ahead and have him. I am not interested in him at all." She said and then walked away, escaping now before they devour her and give her the whole 'Kevin can be the most amazing boyfriend' talk.

She didn't like Kevin in the sense of wanting to date. Matter of fact, Kevin was her childhood friend and she's grown up with him, literally, her entire life. Before they were born, their parents met and became friends and during the pregnancy, they always hung out, took pictures together of how far along they are and how much bigger they were getting every week and even ended up giving birth in the same hospital and amazingly their rooms were right next to each other and then they raised Sam and Kevin together. Either Kevin would hang out at Sam's house for a playdate or Sam would go to hs house and during summer vacations, Sam would either spend her summer with Kevin's family or Kevin would either spend it with her family or both of their families would take one together. So literally, Sam has known Kevin since basically birth.

She wasn't able to ever see him as a potential boyfriend. If anything, he was an annoying brother that bugged the heck out of her every single day.

Since coming to high school about almost a year ago, all of her friends have found boyfriends rather quickly. Some of the guys had actually gone to the same middle school Sam and her friends went to. Sam, though, has yet to find a first love and snatch her first boyfriend.

She wants to blend in with her friends and be able to talk to them about her boyfriend like they already do together but Sam is left out because she doesn't have one... yet. For almost a year now, she has been trying hard to attract a guy and get a boyfriend but every time she starts getting close to a guy, Kevin comes in between them and somehow sabotage her efforts and scares the guy away.

It was seriously becoming annoying to her and now she is absolutely cannot stand Kevin right now. He's ruined every effort she has made and is humiliating her every step of the way. Hopefully, one of her friends will do as she just said and take him away with her.

If he could just fall in love with some other girl, then Sam won't have to worry about getting close to a guy then Kevin coming out of no where and sabotaging it. She just needs to find a way to get Kevin to fall in love with someone else. If she could get him to hate her, then everything will be just perfect and they can easily knock off their engagement agreement that was made long before they were even born.

Walking up to her locker, she tried opening it but someone bumped her as she reached to grab her lock. All of her books went tumbling down to the floor, amazingly missing hitting her in the foot which she was expecting and getting ready for that major pain. She only wore sandals today, so if one of her books had fallen on her foot, it would have hurt really badly.
