Rain thrummed against the windowsill in a heavy downpour, draining the life outside of its usual energy. Streets were empty, curtains were closed, and not a single soul was to be seen. Just the average Tuesday afternoon in England, dreary and dull. Many would find days like these to be sad and despondent, but George found them somewhat calming.

It kind of feels like I'm in my own little bubble, George absentmindedly thought.

He sighed, staring wordlessly at the ceiling above his chair. Exhaustion was becoming dangerously familiar to the Youtuber, and he was well aware of that fact. It was similar to the feeling of a child obnoxiously tugging on his arm, begging him to collapse and sleep all day. While it was tempting to just give in to that feeling, George, like every other functioning 23-year old, had bills to pay and expectations to meet.

Stretching out his arms, he let out a shaky breath of air and got back to working on his computer. He mindlessly began typing out code for his and Dream's next video, listening to music to lighten up the mundane task.

He was combing through old lines of code, fixing any mistakes, and improving certain aspects of it. Dream and he had been wanting to do a "Siamese twin hunters vs speedrunners" video for a while now, it was just up to the two of them polishing up the final code.

Just as George was finishing up, he heard a notification ding from his phone. Speaking of Dream...

Dream: george

George raised his eyebrows, staring at the text. It's always so ominous when someone just texts your name and nothing else...

Georgenotfound: hey, what's up?

Dream: you wanna stream Minecraft together later today? in maybe four hours? with bad and sapnap too

He read over the text a few times, lost in thought. Damn. I wanna play with Dream, but I'm also really tired today... Before George had the chance to respond, Dream added,

Dream: no pressure or anything though, if you don't want to  :)

George smiled. How could he say no to that?

Georgenotfound: sure, I'm down. was actually just finishing up the code for that one vid we were gonna do in a few days, so good timing lol

Dream: awesome!!! I'll tell bad and sapnap, and then we can all get in a call together later on stream :)

George smiled, putting his phone down. His heart was racing with a bit of excitement; he always enjoyed talking with Dream. His laugh always cheers me up for some reason.

He quickly finished up the rest of the code and closed his computer. There was still a good three hours until they were to stream, and George had no idea what to do. His stomach, almost angrily, loudly growled. Shut up, stupid stomach.

Ignoring his hunger, George opted to set a timer and take a nap until it was time to record.

...

Beep!

Beep!

Bee--

Bitterly, George slapped his hand on his phone to turn off the annoying alarm. Sighing in frustration, he rubbed his eyes. Fuck, napping was a bad idea.

If it wasn't bad enough before, now George felt as if his mind was just shrouded in fog. He desperately wanted to give in to the allure of longer sleep, but he couldn't just ghost his friends like that.

Dragging himself out of bed, he tiredly sat on his computer chair. As his computer booted up, he couldn't help but stare at his reflection in the dark screen. His hair was disheveled, there were noticeable bags under his eyes, and he was so damn hungry, but he knew he had to push through it all.
