[THIS IS NOT A DRILL SANHA LEGIT GAVE ROCKY A RING WITH A HEART ON IT (200404 VLIVE!!!!!!!!!!) I WAS SUPPOSED TO SLEEP BUT THEN THEY GO AND GIVE ME THIS]
Sanha always thought rings were tacky. They were great jewelry for fashion but most of the time, he hated the thought of wearing rings. But then Rocky happened. One day, Rocky had came home with a ring on his pointer finger, something Sanha knew was not for fashion. Sanha had frozen, feeling like his heart had stopped wondering who the fuck gave his boyfriend a ring. But then Rocky had skipped over to him excitedly, showing off his ring, stating boldly, "Now, I can have my family everywhere with me."
That's when Sanha became fascinated with rings.
More specifically, Rocky's ring.
Sanha would find himself playing with the older's fingers, twirling the ring around and around absentmindedly. He'd listen to Rocky's story of getting the ring made with his mother countless times, hearing the same words, "I'll have them with me all the time." That was when a thought popped into his mind. Something that scared him but also pushed him.
For a year, Rocky's finger was empty save for his family ring and the occasional Aroha ring. The only time Rocky wore other rings were on stage when their stylists called for it, but right after, his fingers would once again only leave room for two rings. For months, Sanha obsessed over his thought. Was he willing to do it? He knew the implication of what he was about to do. What it meant not only for him but to Rocky as well. The weight of meaning heavier than the object. He knew as soon as he gave it, Rocky would know. Would understand. But would he accept it was the question.
It was months after and a new year came upon them. Bin's birthday came and went, and Sanha felt like each day nearing Rocky's own was suffocating him. His boyfriend had noticed and would send him worried looks, asking him what was wrong. Everyday he felt fake for saying he was fine. He totally was not. The weight in his pocket seem to weigh him down each day that neared.
Sanha didn't even have a plan. His hyungs teased him on what he had concocted for Rocky's birthday but all he could do was stutter and sweat nervously. The hyungs noticed his uneasiness and instead of teasing him more about it, they became more worried as Sanha became more erratically bothered. He couldn't sit still. Everything made him jump.
On the day of. Sanha had wondered why he worked himself up, as he stared in blatant shock at his boyfriend's shy smiling face, eyes glassy but happy.
"Was this why you were out of sorts lately?" The question was directed at him as he knelt on the ground on all fours panicking over losing the one gift that represented himself.
Sanha gasped in fright almost bumping his head on the bed before looking at Rocky and freezing at the object in between Rocky's fingers. It was the ring, the silver glinting underneath the light, almost dwarfed by Rocky's fingers, knowing the symbol engraved just in between. 사랑에 눈이 멀다(Blind for Love)
Because that was what Sanha was. He was blind for Rocky's love.
Rocky looked away from him and down the piece of jewelry. Sanha's heart. "I was folding one of your sweaters and this fell out. I thought it was yours until I looked at the engraving."
Sanha stood up slowly. "Uh..."
Rocky looked up and tilted his head, offering the ring to him. "Is this for me?"
Sanha knew Rocky already knew the answer. But he knew Rocky was giving him a chance. So he bit his lip and plucked the ring off the other's fingers and went closer. He smiled bashfully down at Rocky.
"When you first got your family ring, I was fascinated with what you said. You told me, it represented your family. That you wanted something that you can bring with you everywhere you go." He licked his lips nervously, chuckling. Rocky raised his arm and looped it around Sanha's neck, fingers entangling at the hairs of Sanha's back, soothing him. "Then a lightbulb lit up in my head. Something unexpected, something I know would change things between us."
"I wanted that too. I wanted you to always have me wherever you are. We might always be together since we live together, but..." Sanha shook his head, trying to find the words to convey what he meant. "But also, I wanted to give you something I have. But I can't exactly give you my heart, literally." He joked, before taking a deep breath and became serious once again. "Hyuk, I want you to have something that symbolizes my love for you. It's cliche, I know. But it's all I could think of. I love you and I just want you to have a daily reminder of my whole love for you. It's also a promise..."
"Sanha..." Rocky's eyes misted.
"I know we're young. Our country also isn't open about our kind of relationship. But I promise one day, I'll be able to bind myself to you, not just in soul, but in paper. So, Park Minhyuk..." Sanha sniffed, chuckling, before raising the finger and offering the ring properly. "Will you accept me for eternity?"
Rocky stared at him for a moment, silent and it almost worried him if not for the fact that he could read Rocky clearly through his eyes. Before he knew it, the small nod was given and Rocky offered him his finger. He bit his lip as his shaking hand slipped the ring over Rocky's pointer finger. He raised it and gave it a soft kiss, pressing into the skin for a time, Rocky's hand tightening at his nape. Then, Rocky pulled him down, and without a word, seal the deal with a kiss.
Sanha laughed as he, MJ and Rocky made a mess of their vlive. It hasn't been long since they started it and they were already chaotic. Then he read the comments and one of them asked for a TMI.
"Oh, TMI, TMI, hyung, anyone? Rocky-Hyung, how about you?"
Rocky looked at the camera and pondered, before lighting up, shoving his ring-clad fingers to the camera. "For TMI, look guys! I'm wearing a ring given to me by Sanha. It even has a heart on it..."
Sanha bit his lip to try to suppress the delightful feeling going through his body, he could see MJ trying not to smirk at them as Rocky continued to explain how the ring was too big so he had his family ring over it and Aroha ring on his middle finger.
As Rocky finished his TMI segment, they met each other's eyes. To the onlooker, it would pass off as nothing but a mere glance, but to them, it was an exchange of silent 'I love you's, a moment as if in slow motion. Before he knew it, it was over and they were back to being on vlive.
