CHAPTER 1:

Ella is an 18 year old girl whose family abandoned her when she was 14. She was forced to grow up fast and help her Grandfather who had Diabetes. He used to provide her food, clothes, and money but that soon changed.

One day, when Ella was 16 she came home from picking up dinner, and saw her Grandfather on the floor shaking and unconscious. When she got to him he was still breathing, so she quickly called the ambulance. He was in the hospital for a year in a coma, before they asked her if she wanted to pull the plug.

She asked one simple question, "Is he suffering?"

The doctor replied while looking down, "Yes."

She didn't want him to leave her, but that was selfish. Wasn't it? After a little more time to think she decided it was time to let him go. It was time for him to be somewhere he could be happy and alive.

After, they had the funeral she had a month to pack up all of her things and collect what was given to her in his will.

The government had decided she was old enough to be on her own. So, they provided an apartment and first years rent. When that first year was up she had to provide for herself.

Ella hated the fact that she didn't get to her Grandfather earlier that night. In fact she believes it's all her fault. If she would have gotten there earlier he wouldn't have went into a diabetic a coma. He wouldn't be dead!

Ella decided she needed a way to cope with this, but she hated doctors or anything close to them. She just couldn't figure it out. She finally tried a notebook' something that she could write her secrets in, but when she was going to flip the page she got a paper cut on her arm.

That was how she discovered how she could cope with her being lonely and unwanted. From then on when she was upset and crying and didn't know what to do it resulted in cuts. But there was one other way, it wasn't as effective but it worked sometimes, and it kept her alive.

Music! She liked all kinds of music, but she especially liked one band. One Direction, but most importantly one person in this band, Liam Payne. Liam Payne as well as Ella's Grandfather had diabetes.

He knew what it felt like. He knew the needles, the pills, the stress, but most importantly he knew the depression. She wanted, no needed, to meet him. She needed to know that she wasn't alone. That she wasn't crazy, and as she turned on the TV she knew exactly how to do this.

(I promise they won't all be in this point of view)
