Don't Ask Why

Summer was Finally over, students went in and out of the hallways finding there way to their different destinations, they flooded the Locker room, corridor, hallway, court yard and even the toilet discussing about how they spent the summer.
Everyone seemed happy to get back to school, they all had their story to tell, the fun things they did and places they had visited.

They laughed, giggled, cheered at one another story, life before summer break had began to fade away from their memories, happy as they told their stories of vacationing in places like Hawaii, Chicago, Texas, Las Vegas...
They were moving to the next class and new students were joining them too.

Mona Bradford, listened as Alice Morgan tell her vacation story. She had spent in Paris, she narrated how she met some celebrities, other students were gathered in a circle as they listened to Alice, they didn't want to miss a bit of what she was going to say next so they paid rapt attention, they gave a hard laughed at what she said
"There was this Guy at the cinema" Alice said "He said to me, you are beefy" Alice said with a straight face "Guys it wasn't really a question it was a statement, and I said, you are ugly" Everyone laughed
"he looked at me confused"
She continued after the courtyard was dead quiet "And He said to me again you definitely not Beefy then, I said to him, And you are not ugly, when was the last time you were even lucky enough to be facing a mirror?" She said and everyone laughed again.
"And then he told me, you are not beefy, I said to him but you, are not ugly" Alice suppressed a laughed with her hands
"He was Handsome honestly speaking, then he said to me I thought you were someone else and he looked away" she continued "I asked him if he was on the right seat, he turned and said yes, then I said oh, I asked again he just said yes and couldn't even show me his ticket, he was expecting  someone name beffy to sit next to him were I sat and I was expecting a guy named Frank who never showed up, rude grit"
Everyone Laughed again, Mona didn't understand why they laughed at all Alice said

Alice Morgan was twin sister of Ivan Morgan, she was pretty with a dazzling style, her shoes and clothes were surreal and no doubt expensive, She topped one of the stylish and popular girls in school, she was a blondie so was her twinny.

Mona groaned silently as she left the courtyard heading to the locker room, she wished she could tell everyone how her summer holiday went, but it was boring and uninteresting, nobody would want to listen to that kind of story.

Starting from the Jazz festival she attended with her parents stocked by her sides, the holiday could have been better, and more fun, if Elena Gray and her family didn't leave town and travelled far away, they were her family too, Elena was her best friend and well her only friend in school.

Alice story was interesting, it was good to be true that Alice Morgan is a rich and spoilt, and she was also one of the school populars, Mona didn't like anyone with any of those traits.

Mona headed to the locker room, other people were gathered there listening to Laura Elé's story, she also was one of the popular rich girls in school.

She opened her locker, dropped her books in her locker, it was a new year and she wouldn't be needing some books, she was about closing it when she saw Elena's picture, she knew she was going to be alone during her last year of high school, and she wouldn't want to think about it yet, Elena left town and transferred, and so did there friendship, they haven't talked, Elena been busy fitting in and making new friends, and that the last thing Mona knows how to do.
She closed the locker, but it didn't close, something wasn't kept properly, she opened it again and saw a gray pen knife, she remembered she had hid it there in her locker, it belonged to Elena, she made her keep it even if she didn't feel safe about it, but at last she did, after she gave her the "a friend needs help talk"

Before the summer break,
things-bad things happened around in Little Rock High, some students in Little Rock college were arrested, the principal car was tampered with, school properties were vandalized, the cyber cafe was broken into and some of the systems stolen, four students died in Little Rock College.

Cops and detectives asked different students series of questions and was always in school after these incidents had happened, Mona was only two weeks new to the school and couldn't understand everything that went on around, she was also new to the town and didn't know much people, she don't get along quickly with people too, but she suspected Elena the day she asked her to keep that knife she knew nothing about, Elena just seemed terrified and scared, but she claimed it was nothing and wouldn't tell her what was really going on.

The only way Mona could catch up with all that happened around school was thankfully the school bloggers.

She closed the locker and slide her hands in her pocket in search of her phone.
She called the bloggers at Little Rock High liars cause some times they weren't sure of what they blogged about, just ready to ruin someone's reputation.

Definitely she doubt that because she prayed summer was going to end soon, she had no where to go, no friends to visit, a newbie in a town, all alone, she moved to the town with her parents after her dad lost his job

She got tired of seeing pictures of how summer was well spent, and welcome messages. The bloggers in Little Rock High weren't just liars, they get to your private life and expose it to the public, before summer, a style icon in the school  that turned to a diva after she lost her brother in Little Rock College, she stopped talking to any other students after his death, and didn't just wear black cloths to school, she shaved a gossip columnist hair bald for lying about her private life, he also was a student, it made other students scared of her and respect her.

She no longer was one of stylish popular girls anymore, she turned cold and sad after her brother's death and distanced her self from people and her friends, she always carried in her hand, her knife that looked like a pen, sometimes she updo her hair and tucked it there, but her happy life all ended.

Mona breathed in and exhale deeply, ready for a new year and final year in high school, she took in her hands her books and left the locker room for home room
