•Malinda POV•
Firstly I wanted to ignore those thoughts clouding up in my head that kept telling me that my mom didn't show for the last thanksgiving, Christmas, and easter last month
Stop over thinking!
Even my birthday??We got into the house, my dad house was big, he fancied white mansion, for a big shot lawyer in Little Rock, the maids and house workers around didn't like my mom very much
I could tell cause of the face they kept whenever she was around
I wondered how many hours she stood outside waiting to see a sign of me, now she seen me and gotten into the house she certainly didn't just cared, she walked upstairs without saying a word since Amara left
"You Hungry?" I asked to call back her attention
"Oh Darling that not your work, am sure your dad pay these people crowding around here wearing black and white to do their job"
"I want to fix you something myself"I can't believe how I sounded
Strong like I wasn't broken, my mum was half way up the stairs and I was down, I had to raise my head to see my same skin tone, curls, long legs, eyes, face- I looked like her but was nothing like her
I would never be her
"Okay that would be nice" she continued walking up the stairs without saying a word to me
Why would she say a word?
I walked to the kitchen still holding my backpack, Siré Joel offered to take it up to my room, I accepted
He was the mansion butler and my talk buddy😊
He was old and could definitely understand me.The last time my mom came back here was probably last year may, she left without saying goodbye, And now she just showed up calling me and Amara her girls, acting like it was all cool
Preparing snacks in a tray as I got them out from the refrigerator and cupboards, I looked at the trays satisfied
This would do

Fritos, it was my mom favorite or use to be, CheckI don't know her likes and dislikes anymore, literally I don't know her anymore

I and Amara weren't just best friends when I said, she was family too I was right, just that it was a bit complicated than thatRemind me to explain 😖
Right now I heading up the stairs to serve my long lost mother some snacks, trays in my hands, walking up the stairs carefully, so I don't trip
"Ohh thanks darling"
