"Just tell the damn truth," he said, his voice hostile

"Just tell the damn truth," he said, his voice hostile. "Was it ever really me you wanted?"

"Of course," I said. "You are so much more than I ever expected. From the moment we met, I felt something. It was real and it still is. I do not give a fuck about this show or my aunt Maggie. I just want you."

"Are you sure," he whispered.

"If you'll have me," I said back to him.

Something in his eyes was guarded, hidden. His brown hair fell in front of his face and he could not look at me. I am sure he was glancing at the five cameramen in the background, watching this very tense and private moment.

"Why would you even want me," he asked. "Every time I get close to love, there is always some hiccup, some baggage. An old fiance, a secret. You have had your fair share of them and I never thought you would lie to me."

"I never lied," I whispered. "Yes, I withheld some truths. But I was not ready to face those truths myself. But I am ready now. I will tell the real, unfiltered truth. Do you want to know me? Well, here it is," I replied.

I began to tell him everything, all of my dirty laundry and dark secrets. He listened and the cameras rolled on. I knew at that moment I was all in. This was not about a television show or some wager with my aunt: it was about us. I was in love with the man in front of him, and I was begging him to really see and hear me. Little did I know that he had secrets of his own to hide, and the transparency was not a two-way street.

Hello all,

I thought about writing this story for some time. Some part of me thought to myself that I would never, under any circumstances, write fan fiction. Well, here we are. I like writing as a hobby, for fun. I am not a professional, so why not explore all of the genres? If you do not like fan fiction or the Bachelor show, you may still enjoy this story. If you are, like myself, a fan of the Bachelor, keep reading for sure. I did not use to like the bachelor but one night, I got bored and watched it. There may have been wine involved. I was hooked pretty fast and now I am a closet Bachelor fan. Don't tell my mom, who is a lot like Aunt Maggie, unfortunately. I love the idea of reality television and how it is both real and fake, which is a contradiction I wanted to explore in this story. I also write romance, and jeez, what better premise is there for a love story?

This story features a main character that is biracial, bisexual, and full of contradictions. I wanted to write a character that was bisexual for a while now, for personal representation. Bisexuality is complex because oftentimes you might lean towards one gender, and maybe even appear to be completely straight or normal. The main character in this story has to deal with that sort of internal thoughts. The temptation to blend in and be normal, because why even bother coming out if you just want to be in a hetero relationship? I hope I do her, and any readers who identify with her, justice. Please enjoy, and please leave comments if you like this story. Also, happy pride month! Cheers!

Annie has one goal for her life: to spend more time with her sister Jessa

Annie has one goal for her life: to spend more time with her sister Jessa. Although it is difficult because Jessa lives with her crazy and homophobic aunt Maggie. In order to make her dream come true, a summer vacation with her sister, Annie agrees to whatever her aunt Maggie asks. But when her aunt asks Annie to go onto the Bachelor as a contestant, Annie winds up with more than a simple bargain.

Annie finds herself falling quickly for the reality show's lead, Flynn, who is kinder and more real than she anticipated. Racist competitors, catty women, and an ex-girlfriend she did not expect to see at the mansion all catch up to her. Annie finds herself struggling to see if she keep her cool and survive her reality television nightmare. This is a story of love, family drama, closets, and a bit of trashy television thrown in the mix.
