Harry stood there, juggling with oranges that he stole from the bowl on the kitchen counter.
"Harry give me the oranges, you're gonna break something like you did last time. Last time you broke the vase." I say trying to step in and take the oranges from his hands, but he wouldn't let me. He kept slowly stepping to the side away from me. Or moving his hands away from me.
"At least I'm doing oranges, unlike the balls. Plus, I'm not being a dumbass and walking while juggling. That's how the incident occurred, remember?" His eyes glued to the oranges in the air, making sure he doesn't mess up. The door was opened widely, my eyes looked at who had just opened it. It was my mom.
"Harry I thought I told you not to juggle in this house anymore, I don't want another vase broken." Once my mother spoke he stopped quickly and looked at my mom not bothering to pay attention to the oranges anymore not even to catch the oranges, they fell to the floor while Harry stood there frozen.
"I uh- I'm sorry, Allie." Harry said, My mother and Harry had a great bond. Harry was practically her son, she's known Harry for 17 years, ever since he was born. Harry and I's mother have been friends their whole lives practically. They've known each other since kindergarten and have been the best of friends ever since then.
They always planned to get pregnant together and have Harry and I have the exact same friendship they had. Harry is just three days older than me. But we basically spend each other's birthday as if we were both born on the same day. Harry always helped me with my struggles in life, he helped me realize my sexuality. I turned out to be gay when I was 15 after kissing a girl at a party and taking interest into her for a couple of months until she ghosted me.
Harry supported me being gay, as well as my mom and Harry's. Harry's mom was my second mom, my father died just two years after I was born. So Harry's father was like my second father. We were practically one whole family. Harry's sister, Gemma was like a sister I could've ever wished for. Before I figured out my sexuality we would always talk about the guys we would be into when Harry wasn't around. But now that I was into girls, the bond Gemma and I had wasn't the same. It would only be her drooling over guys and we wouldn't ever agree on the same things as we used to.
Only me being gay made my bond with Harry grow more than I could've ever thought. I never thought our bond and friendship could grow ever so more, but it did. Him and I would always talk about girls when we would have sleepovers at each other's houses.
I have two brothers but they moved out when I was once seven, and twelve. Harry had a great bond with them too until they moved out on their way to college. Now it was like they were practically strangers. Harry and I are currently seventeen. Our birthdays are coming up in 5 months.
"It's fine, just don't juggle in here sweetie please." My mom said putting down the brown bagged of groceries on the white marble countertop. Harry finally unfroze from his spot and walked into the kitchen.
He scratched the back of his neck and said, "Yes ma'am, I apologize for not listening to you the first time." My mom only gives Harry a smile and starts putting the groceries away, Harry and I helping her with them.
I opened the door to the pantry to put the cookies away and walked back saying, "Hey mom, what're you gonna make to eat?"
"Well I was planning on making some spaghetti, is that okay sweetie?" I give her a nod, she looks over at Harry and Harry just looks at her with a 'Why are you looking at me face'.
