The subway sucks. I mean it's good, it works but it's filthy. It smells like piss and body odour - not a good mix but very common together. Over near the archway onto the platform are the usual buskers: a bucket drummer, a saxophone and a guitarist who sings completely out of tune. They all sound awful together.

It's freezing, of course it is - it's winter but I also forgot my scarf and gloves. My suitcase is getting heavier in my hand by the second. I'm going home for the holidays to see my parents. They've wanted me to go home for so long and I thought that since it's December I should at least try. It's a Christmas miracle.

I feel me phone vibrate in my pocket. I pull it out to check. It's my Dad calling me....again. This is the third time today, and it's only 10:30. I press decline and put my phone back in my pocket. I don't need to hear how wonderful the holidays are going to be, how happy he is about seeing the whole family back together. My parents house is 4 hours away. In other words - a really long and boring train ride home. I'm dreading it as much as possible.

After a few minutes of awful music echoing the underground platform, the sound of the train drains it out. Thank God! I stand to the side of the doors to let people off and then scurry on. All the seats are taken, of course. I find a free handle and hold on.

I look around to see who's near me. I make eye contact with a man a few seats down. We look at each other for a split second, but it feels like forever. His light blue eyes looking into mine. I do a double take. I can feel my cheeks going red. This time I see the guy. He has dark brown hair in a shirt wavy cut, light blue eyes, stubble which makes him look even more handsome. He's wearing a grey jumper under a navy blue leather jacket. His jeans are light-worn denim pants paired with black and white vans.

I didn't realise I was starting until he stood up. I quickly looked away and took my phone out to look busy. I felt a tap on my shoulder. I look up to see him standing next to me.
"Hi, I'm Sebastian." he said holding out his hand.
"I'm Hannah." I said looking into his eyes.

Maybe this train ride won't so bad after all.
