23. The Castle 🏰

ROSÉ'S POV

When we arrived at the castle, we noticed that there were no guards. All of them were dead... Not a single sould survived. I wonder what happened..? We all got off our horses.

"What happened to the guards?" Jungkook asked. "Hmm... Sana and the others probably got here first.." I heard Jennie unnie mumble. "What do you mean, unnie?" Lisa asked.

"Taehyung oppa wasn't the only one fighting for the kingdom, of course." I heard Jennie unnie say. I sprinted towards Jennie unnie and walked beside her. "Where exactly is the stone?" BamBam questioned.

"Here, to the West." She then led everyone to where it was. Jungkook and the others tied there horses to a nearby tree, which had its branches sticking out. (idk how to explain lol)

TAEHYUNG'S POV

It wasn't a very far destination. Jennie was leading the way to them. Though it did take a few minutes to find where it was.. "There it is!" Jisoo noona pointed to a pile of red roses, a few steps away from the stream.

Jennie, Rosé, Jungkook, and I were helping to dig the roses out. While the rest were guarding us. Keeping alert if anyone comes.

It was pretty difficult because of the thorns, but nonetheless, we were trying very hard.

Out of all the things we forgot, it was to bring gloves.

"Ouch!" I looked over to Jennie. "What happened?" I asked. "Uh.. just got a cut, it's fine." She smiled bitterly. But I didn't believe it.. I grabbed her hand, and took her away from the others. I looked at the back of it. It was bleeding slowly. There was also a thorn stuck there. Ouch!

"You're not fine, Jennie." I spoke, examining the cut. "If we don't get this out, it will cause a problem." I looked at it again. How will I get this out? I was about to try and get the thorn out when...

THUD!

Seulgi?? Are you ok?

SEULGI'S POV

We went inside the castle. It was dark. Empty. Hollow. It's definitely not the same anymore. We all heard a poof! behind us making us all look back.

It was Irene.

We all pointed our weapons to her. Sana went up to her and put her own sword to the so-called queen's neck. Irene chuckled. "You think I'm scared of a sword?" I can tell that Sana was scared.

Yet she still kept her stance.

"Why are you doing this?" Jin asked, with a glare. "Easy." Irene walked around us. "Because I want to." She then sat on her- I mean, which was supposed to be, Jisoo's throne.

IRENE'S POV

They think they're so intimidating? Psh.. like I'm scared of a fee swords. I sat back and watched at these pathetic people. Examining each and every one of them.

"Sana, you know I'm your auntie right?" I pouted. She didn't say anything. "Ahh, we have Jin here." I noticed. "But where's your little queen?" I teased him, referring to Jisoo. He released his sword and was about to fight me, when someone held him back.

"Hoseok?" I stood up. "What the fvck are you doing with them?!" I was about to go to him when someone jumped in front of him. I smirked. "Moonbyul... always defending strangers, are you?"

She rolled her eyes. "I'm not a stranger to them..." I looked at Hoseok with my glare. "I'm with them now." He stated, confidently. "What is the meaning of this?!" I stomped. "What kind of potion did they use to turn you back?!"

"We didn't use a potion, Irene." Sana defended. "Because he didn't fell for that spell you casted, he was pretending." I got so mad. How dare he betray me?! Using my own fvcking plans against me, huh?!

SEULGI'S POV

Everyone took a step back, seeing Irene with cleched fists and a red face. She stared at us with her burning eyes and the next thing we knew, we were shot across the room.

Unfortunately, a window was opened, making me slip to it. I managed to grab in to the window sill. Sana noticed and grabbed my hand. "Pull yourself up!" she grunted.

"I-I can't!" I'm not strong. I'd rather go to my library than a gym. I looked down. It's not really that far. It's probably about... 20-24 meters. Looking back up to Sana I said, "Let me go."

SANA'S POV

I looked at her. "Are you crazy?!"
"There's a thick pile of grass under there, I'll be fine!" She said. I sighed. "Ok, but come back as quickly as possible." Seulgi nodded, and I let her go. I hope she makes it...

THUD!

I looked down, worried.

Seulgi?? Are you ok?

SEULGI'S POV

Luckily, I landed in a very thick pile of grass. "It kinda hurted, but I'm ok. Grandma always told me to stay strong..

"Seulgi?? Are you ok?" I nodded at her. I then stood up, cleaning myself off. I looked back up when I heard a familiar voice.

Excuse me, miss? Do you need help?

I was shocked when I saw who it was.

Seulgi?

Jennie...?
