24. The Stone

JENNIE'S POV

"What was that?" Taehyung asked. We looked behind us, and saw someone on the thick pile of grass. Me and Taehyung sprinted towards her. "Excuse me, Miss? Do you need help?" I asked.

I took a step back when she looked up at me. "Seulgi?" I raised my brows. She looked pretty shocked too. "Jennie?" I helped her stand up. "You guys know each other?" Taehyung spoke out.

The both of us nodded.

Then I suddenly remembered my stinging hand. I looked at it. "Oh, you're hurt..." Seulgi inspected it. Taehyung suddenly held my injured hand. "Can you heal it, or something?" he asked, caressing it. Seulgi nodded and pulled out a blue necklace that was hidden in her shirt.

SEULGI'S POV

This necklace was given to me by my Grandma after she... Umm, anyways, I packed about 5 of these when I first came here to Enchantasia.

It was what I used to come here. This little blue orb. With this, I can teleport to any world that my library has. But it can also heal anything. Of course, except for the dead. Even magic has its limits.

You might be wondering when I used the other orbs. The first one I used to heal Princess Sana. She accidentally walked into poison ivy. Then I used it to heal Jin, after he got a deep cut, which he didn't tell anyone about. (You know, when they first met Hoseok.)

And I used it to heal Jimin, he got multiple rose thorns stuck in his hand, after Sana told him to stay put. Elves are pretty stubborn...

And I'm using the last one so me and Jennie can go back to our world...

I grabbed an orb from my necklace and placed it near Jennie's cut. It glowed, like it should. Then with one final glow, it healed Jennie's hand.

JENNIE'S POV

I slightly raised my brows, as that orb magically healed my hand. "Woah..." I breathed out. The orb that once glowed a light blue shade suddenly dimmed down.

Seulgi smiled as I looked up at her.

"Jennie! Taehyung!" Someone called us. "Oh we have to go now, Seulgi. They probably already have the Stone." I said. "Mhm." She nodded.

Me and Taehyung were about to go to them when Seulgi grabbed my wrist, stopping me from walking away. Taehyung was holding my now healed wrist, which caused him to stop as well.

"Excuse me, Taehyung, but.. could I borrow Jennie for a bit?" Seulgi bit her lip. "Umm..yeah sure." He let go of my hand. "Just be back soon, okay?" He faced me. "You're the only one that can fix this."

I nodded and gave a genuine smile to him. He returned it and sprinted towards the others. Looking back to Seulgi, I noticed she was looking at her necklace.

"What is it?" I asked, snapping her out of her thoughts. "Jennie, we need to go." She kept a straight face. "We don't belong in this world.. we need to go back to our home."

I looked down. "B-but... what about them?" I looked to Taehyung who was talking to Jungkook. "We still need to help save Enchantasia.."

He must've felt me looking at him because he suddenly looked here, with a confused look. His expression softened as he waved at me. I waved back.

"If we leave now the story would be just the way it was before. Before we came here." She fiddled with her necklace. "It would be a happily ever after with Prince Taehyung and Princess Sana." I clasped my hands together and looked down.

I heard her sigh. "Everything's changed now. The story turned upside down. We weren't supposed to be here." She then rested her hand on my shoulder. "We can both use this last orb, to go back."

I looked up at her. Her eyes softened at my glossy ones.

I don't wanna leave... I've been having so much fun here, meeting all my favourite characters. Even my all-time crush, Taehyung..

I know I don't belong here. I'm not some fairytale character. I belong in the real world. With real people. Back in my boring highschool life..

I guess I was just so wrapped up in living in Enchantasia, that I forgot about my life back home..

"Jennie?" Seulgi snapped me out of my thoughts. "I know you want to stay here. I understand, I really do." She gave a slight smile. "Okay.. maybe we can help them out just until they stop Irene and save Enchantasia. But after that, we have to go back as soon as possible."

I smiled back. "Okay... just until we save Enchantasia." Then we embraced each other. "Thank you, Seulgi." I said.

TAEHYUNG'S POV

I wonder what they were talking about. I stared at them as they engulfed each other in a hug. "We have it!" I quickly turned my head to Namjoon hyung. BamBam picked up the stone, showing it to us.

The color was a red-blood that shined in the light. It was the size of a golf ball. Despite its cracked edges, it actually feels very smooth.

"How do you use it?" Rosé asked. "I don't know... I never saw it before." BamBam examined the stone. "Jennie?" Jisoo noona suddenly looked on my right.

I almost jumped seeing Jennie right beside me. I was so caught up in the Stone, that I didn't even notice Jennie standing there.

Jennie walked towards BamBam. "I'm sure you'll find out." She smiled. "What?" Jungkook spoke. "You don't know how to work it, noona?"

"It's not like it said there," Jennie turned towards Jungkook. "It just said something like, and I quote.. 'The wizard believed that his creation would work. That he would be able to suck any type of magic using this stone. Either that, or he spent 4 months of his life creating something that wouldn't work.' "

Damn, she actually memorized that?

"So... I would have to believe..?" BamBam looked at the stone, suspiciously. Jennie nodded and parted her lips, about to say something, when a rather familiar voice spoke out.

SEULGI! There you are! We've been so worried! We thought-..

Jisoo...?

Jin?
