Chapter 3

**Two weeks later**

Nikki had been back in john's armed once again and was very happy to be there as well. She just needed to vent to someone because a lot of things had been on her mind lately and they were troubling her. Just as she was about to say something john spoke up.

"Is anything bothering you Nicole?"

"Actually something kinda is..........it's about Bri."

"What about her?"

"She's been acting different it's almost like she is a little jealous."

"Jealous of what?"

"Me."

"Why would she be jealous of you?"

"I don't know.......she's usually not the jealousy type."

"I think you might just want to talk to her and figure out why."

"Yeah you're probably right."

"Hey, listen I love you for you."

"And I love you you for you."

After they had been passionately kissing for about five minutes they parted lips and Nikki had finally decided to text Bri to see if she was okay, where she was, how Bryan was doing, and if they could meet up soon.

**Nikki: Hey can we talk?

Bri:.................**

Brie hadn't replied and Nikki was starting to get very worried.

**Back in Tampa, Florida**

Bri actually had been waiting in the waiting room for almost an hour now while the doctors were trying to figure out what was wrong with him. She was becoming impatient when the doctor walked out.

"He's doing better than we thought he was going to. He has three fractured ribs, a little bit of whiplash, and a broken arm. But he's not breathing entirely by himself so we have him on life support just to make sure of things. He is able to go visit but may I ask what connection you have?"

"Bryan is my boyfriend."

"Oh I'm sorry, but only his immediate family can go in."

"No, please you have to let me in......please", Bri had started to cry but they were real tears. She wanted to see her partner, badly. With lots of pleading and begging the doctor had finally let her in. But when she walked in her heart had shattered into a million pieces. Bryan looked so pitiful just lying there with a bunch of wires connected to his body. She ran to him wanting to hug him and squeeze the life out of him......not literally but she knew she couldn't. Bri had never been this happy in her life to see someone. After a few minutes watching Bryan sleep it was very late there so she had fell asleep as well in the chair beside the hospital bed.
