Movie Night

Davids Point of View

It's the first night of summer, and me and Nat decided to rent a big projector, and a screen, and have a movie night, not just for our kids, but for the whole group.

Jason had come and got all the kids, so we could set up in our backyard, and then everyone would come here.

Natalie had insisted we needed to get a popcorn machine too.

Some guy had come, and was installing the screen and projector, Natalie was outside starting the popcorn, and I was finding as many blankets as I could.

Me and Nat had purposefully chosen a piece of land that had A LOT of land, it goes back super far, of course we had this house built specially for us on the plot of land.

I stepped outside, dropping more blankets into the growing pile, and walked over to my wife.

"Hi wife." I smiled, wrapping my arms around her from behind.

She leaned back into my chest. "Hi husband"

I held her waist, as she made popcorn, I am just as clingy, and touchy as I was years ago.

"Babe have you gotten all of the blankets?"

"Of course, would I be standing here if I hadn't?"

"Yes." she turned around. I rolled my eyes at her, and leaned down, kissing her square on the mouth.

She sighed, tangling her fingers in my hair, and kissing me back.

I pulled away after the screen guy scoffed to get our attention.

"All done." He clapped his hands.

"Awesome, follow me, I will pay you." I squeezed Natalies waist, before walking into the house.

After he was gone, Natalie texted Jason and said they could all start heading over.

Everyone would be coming, besides Matt, and Jasons kids.

It took an hour, but eventually everyone got here.

We were all standing in the kitchen foyer.

"OK! CHILDREN!" I clapped to get all of their attention.

The hummers' of voices quieted, and I spoke up.

"Since it is the first day of summer, me and Natalie, have decided, to rent a big projector, and popcorn, and get candy and blankets, and were going to have a huge movie night, out in the backyard!"

This made the hum of voices come back, so I walked to the backyard, and they all followed.

Tonight we would be watching the second incredibles (They all voted on it), everyone set out blankets, and we started to movie.

I was sitting, with Nat on my chest, surrounded by Corinna, Todd, Jason, Trisha, Jeff, Zane, Stassie, Scott, Kristen, Josh, Paige, Erin, Carly, Heath, and Moriah, and It kinda felt like old times. 

I pulled out my camera, "tonight is the first day of summer, so we are having a backyard movie for the kids." I turned the camera, and then turned it back to me, holding it out so Natalie was in the frame.

"We even have a popcorn machine." she smiled brightly. I rolled my eyes and laughed, turning the camera off.

Aria's Point of View

I was kinda surprised that mom and dad planned such a big thing, and it was entirely their idea. 

I guess parents can be pretty cool.

I was laying on a blanket with Melodie.

"So how are you and that guy?" Melodie turned to me.

Melodie is only 2 years younger than me, but only one grade younger than me.

And we all go to the same school, which is pretty cool.

"Were okay, were not really dating, just...talking."

"and making out in front of the whole school?" Quinn joked.

I smacked his arm and he rubbed it, "rude." he scoffed.

"I don't know if I wanna make it serious with him." I sighed.

"Can you be quiet? you guys are super annoying" Zach glared at us from his blanket in front.

I giggled a long with Mel.

"He's probably already seen this movie." She sighed.

"Actually I haven't Melody." 

"Yeah Melody." I scoffed sarcastically

"Hey leave him alone, just watch the movie." Aunt Kristen reprimanded as she moved to go inside.

"Sorry." Melody and I said.

"Date him, he's cute and nice." Mel whispered.

Maybe.
