we were standing in the rain.
well not necessarily standing, we were dashing to your house, only i'm not a very fast runner.
we were drenched in water.
the umbrella we brought along, was pretty useless.
you had pulled me into an ally and you quickly put your lips on mine.
i pulled away.
"kuroo what are you doing we have to get to your house!"
you pulled me back in again.
"do we really? we're already soaking, let me enjoy spending some time with you."
you kissed me again, but this time more intensely.
i felt the water fall, every raindrop hitting our faces.
the umbrella had left my hand long ago and was wafting through puddles down the road.
but i heard a noise and pulled away quickly before you began kissing harder.
"kuroo," i whispered, "do you hear that?"
you were quiet for a good ten seconds before you responded.
"hear what?"
i left your grasp and followed the noise.
"kenma!"
i could hear you call after me before you followed behind me.
"hear what?!"
i had finally found the source of the noise.
a small black haired kitten.
i ripped my sweatshirt off immediately before wrapping the small kitten in the fabric.
holding the cat in my arms i turned to you.
"can we keep it pleeeeeaseeee?"
i looked up to you giving my best pleading face.
you sighed before bending over to pet the kitten.
"i don't see why not."
i was so close to cheering when you said,
"but were naming her together."
"fineeee"
i grabbed your hand and we dashed through the rainstorm not stopping until we were both panting and soaked, but also happy as we rushed into your house.
do you remember our cat? i hope you do.
do you remember naming her emerald because of her eyes?
do you remember caring for her everyday?
and playing with her always?
and how she always knew when you were upset?
and how she would snuggle with us on long nights?
do you remember, kuroo?
