Patton sighed, a big grin on his face, Virgil had come out to him the day before, and he couldn't stop smiling. Virgil confided in him enough to tell him they're Non-binary. So when he woke up with the other in his bed curled up against him he couldn't help the smile. They were so cute.. He carefully got out of the squishy bed and moved to go get food ready. His mother was out, and happy to let over one of Patton's friends.

"Do I smell pancakes?" Vee popped their head in, smiling at Patton who nodded and started laughing. Vee's hair was curling all different ways. "Yayy.."

"Some have chocolate chips and others don't," He plate the fluff's and patted his 'child's hair. "Just incase."

"Thank you, Dad."

He just nodded and they ate. Patton had only grabbed 3 and he scarfed them down rather quick, as Vee had grabbed 4 and ate slowly. "So, Vee, Do you wanna go shopping?" Virgil looked up, his face stuffed and a bit of syrup on his chin. They were so adorable.

"'eally?"

"Doi, Silly Goose," He chuckled, washing his used kitchen-ware, "You told me that you didn't like how restricted your clothes are. I wanna take you shopping."

Virgil swallowed their food, "Th-thanks, Pat.." It looked.. like they were going to cry??

"Oh, Vee! You're welcome, but don't cry!" He exclaimed, smiling. Giving them an (awkward) shoulder hug, in which he let go quickly, he made them smile. "We'll go in after you're finished, 'Kay?"

They nodded, using their arm to wipe their tears.

Oh Virgil was such a sweetheart, with Patton of course.

"Here," Patton handed Virgil a dress they'd been looking at. It was a royal sort of purple, and had an 'older' look to it, buckles across the stomach.. it was rather beautiful, and honestly there where no words on earth that could ever describe it. "Why don't you try it on?"

"I-I don't know-"

"There's a family Changing room, right there," He said, looking over his round glasses at the rooms. Virgil grabbed the dress in their hands and looked over at the rooms.

"You'll be there if I do?"

"Of course, Vee."
~

They'd grabbed a few more items of clothing for Them to try on, and it honestly had made their heart swell. How did anyone every not love Patton? He was such a sweetheart, and deserved the world. He'd loved everyone and treated them all with an un-average amount of respect. He'd even offered to try on some outfits too, as to make Virgil feel more comfortable - which he was told he didn't have to do.

"Are you done, Virgil?"

He turned to face the mirror, the dress was snug and less itchy than it had seemed, the bow was what he had struggled with most, but it still managed to look somewhat perfect..

"Virge?" Patton had knocked on the door.

"Yeah," They shuffled towards the door, only to reveal the blonde in a pair of short-overalls and a crop-top (that one rainbow letters said 'good vibes'). "So..?"

Patton threw his hands over his mouth and muffled a squeal, as soon as he stopped squealing, he pulled Virgil into a hug and lifted them off the ground. "Oh you look so flipping cute, Virgil!!"

They just leaned into the hug, and hid their (flushed) face into his overalls. "Fanks."

He put them down and let go - even though they didn't move. "Do you like your clothes?"

They were quiet for a moment and as soon as Patton realized their shoulders were bouncing and they'd held onto the front pocket, he went back to hugging them. "I love th-them.."

"Aw," He pet their hair, standing a bit taller so they could hold onto him without awkwardly knock their head into his chin. "I'm glad you like them. How bout we go buy em?"

They nodded and back up a bit, "yeah.."
~
Needless to say, as soon as they left the store, Patton had drove straight home - Had them change (and Changed himself) - and immediate had Them right back out the door for a day of fun.

Vee didn't complain once, they were too busy having their best time with their best friend.

(And hissing at kids and the sun but, eh.)
