' one mistake

"Why do I stupidly and randomly feel panicked and concerned all of a sudden?!" Nayeon shouted

"It's probably just you and your stupid imaginations" Daniel pointed out

"What do we need? Ah! Newborn clothes!" Jihyo shouted

"Got it! Do we need diapers? We don't right?" Seulgi asks

"Of course we need diapers," Nayeon said with a deadpan look

"But they don't poo and pee in your womb right?" Seulgi asks as everyone stopped to think

"You ask that to a nurse. Oh! I'd also need clothes! Please get me some while you're in the closet, Seul" Jihyo said as Seulgi nodded, heading upstairs

"Make sure it's comfy!"

Their to-do list today was to prepare for Jihyo's hospital bag, they already made a list about a week ago but somehow lost it in the middle of deep cleaning.

"Here, I've got sweatpants and an oversized t-shirt" Seulgi showed it to Jihyo. She gave an okay sign, then was proceeded by Seulgi just stuffing- almost just throwing it in the bag, earning a glare from Daniel.

Frightened, Seulgi quietly fixed it.

"Ah! I forgot I bought some cute, little head accessories for her. I'll just go get it from upstairs" Nayeon said, immediately standing up from the couch and headed upstairs.

"We've got everything, right?" Jihyo asked, taking a peek at the bag

"Yes, I think" Daniel confirmed

"Well then, we should rest first. I'll just go get a glass of water" Jihyo said, standing up from the couch then going into the kitchen.

A cold glass of water on her right, and a newly baked muffin from the neighbor next door on her left, the next thing that happened made Jihyo just stand there, frozen

"Yah! You put that back there!"

"Hey, you're the one who took it out!"

Faint noises from the twins bickering, mixed with the footsteps of Nayeon going downstairs

"I found it!" She shouted.

Jihyo looked around, puzzled.

"Guys" She breathed out, but no one was paying attention to her

"I think my water just broke," She said, a little bit louder

"Yeah Jihyo, you played that prank weeks ago, won't fall for it again" Seulgi teased, but not sparing a look at Jihyo as the 3 of them were busy looking at the stuff Nayeon had brought

"Yeah, there's probably no water dripping from your leg- OH SHT IT'S REAL, SHE'S GOT LIQUID DRIPPING DOWN HER LEGS AND IS FLOODING THE KITCHEN FLOOR!" Nayeon screamed, stealing both Daniel and Seulgi's attention

"OH MY GOSH, DANIEL GET THE CAR! I'LL DRIVE!" Nayeon ran to Jihyo, getting the glass of water and the muffin from her hands and putting them on the counter

"But my muffi-"

"Shh, come on, can you walk? Are you okay? Does it hu- SEULGI WHAT THE FVK ARE YOU DOING, GET THE BAG TO THE CAR!"

"Ouch, my ears" Jihyo muttered

"Okay, okay. Calm down" Daniel took Jihyo's hands, "I am calm" Jihyo chuckled

"Get her to the car, Dan. I'll just get our phones," Nayeon said, who had (miraculously) managed to calm down a bit

As if time became 2x faster, they were all inside the car in less than a minute. Everything prepared- well hopefully

The drive to the hospital was fast- too fast that they almost ran a red light. They checked in immediately and are now in the delivery room wearing PPE gowns while jihyo lays on the bed

"Well, I guess the baby and Aunt Nayeon already has a special connection" Nayeon rubbed Jihyo's tummy

"Special connection your butt. How did you even say so?"

"Well, I felt um, panicked?"

"Then if you did have a 'special connection', why didn't you at least tried to prepare for it," Daniel said, doing air quotes while saying special connection

"Cause you told me it was because of my stupid imaginations!"

"Okay, Ms. Park Jihyo? I think you're ready" Nurses including the OB-GYN came in the room

Nayeon and Seulgi took this as a sign to go 9ut of the delivery room, leaving daniel by Jihyo's side cause they know she needs him.

Before going out, they held Jihyo's hands and caressed her hair. Giving messages like 'You can do it and 'It'll be over once you know it'

About 30 minutes had passed, Nayeon and Seulgi are anxiously pacing outside the delivery room wondering why it's taking so long.

Inside the delivery room, a nurse is shouting 'OKAY, PUSH! 1, 2, 3, PUSH! I SEE THE HEAD! JUST A LITTLE BIT MORE!' On a loop.

Daniel who is anxiously quiet but his hand is there for Jihyo to grasp as hard as she can while giving all of her strength into pushing

Jihyo was very much tired and wanted to take a break. But she also wanted to see her baby as soon as possible.

"Can't we just doa  C-section?" She asked while panting and choking on her tears

"No!" It was the first time Daniel said a word since 30 minutes

"Don't. You can do it without the knives and all, Jihyo" He whispered

"But I'm tired"

"Please?" He pleaded

She gave a long sigh before pushing again, pouring every inch and centimeter of her strength into this one.

She finally heard her baby's cry and relief washed over her.

"Thank you, Jihyo" Daniel whispered to Jihyo before she passed out.

"Isn't she beautiful?"

"She looks just like Jihyo"

"I love her"

Jihyo woke up hearing these faint voices. She was in a different room now, not the delivery room.

"Jihyo-yah!" Nayeon exclaimed, immediately hugging the latter

The 3 huddled up around Jihyo's bed, with their daughter in Daniel's arms

"Can I see her?" Daniel slowly put her in Jihyo's chest.

She immediately teared up, "Hi baby"

"Ah! Don't cry you're making me cry!" Nayeon whined

"I'm the mom here, I have every right to cry" Jihyo pointed out

"She's beautiful, Jihyo" Seulgi said, patting Jihyo's head

"She's literally a carbon copy of you, Jihyo" Nayeon said, as Jihyo studied harder on her baby's face

"She is. I'm sorry, Dan" Jihyo chuckled

"Which name did you go with? We talked about this already, remember? It's all on you"

"Hayoon, I named her Hayoon" Daniel said, "Even though I liked the name 'Yoona' better, I went with the name you wanted"

"Thank you" She whispered while smiling. He crouched, giving her a kiss in the forehead

"Say, how about getting married, Jihyo?"
