❝there are a lot more stars than usual tonight.❞

mark let out a small chuckle at his best friend's observations. ❝that's nice, haechan.❞ he hummed, looking up from his laptop to gaze at the boy standing out on the balcony.

❝hyung, you gotta see this!❞ haechan exclaimed, rushing over and tugging on mark's arm, making the elder yelp.

❝dude, calm down! my laptop.❞ mark exclaimed, quickly transferring his laptop to the space on the sofa next to him as haechan finally tugged him off the couch successfully. ❝yo, i would've actually murdered you if you ended up making my laptop fall, you know.❞ mark rolled his eyes.

❝look, so pretty!❞ haechan exclaimed, completely ignoring mark's earlier remark as he dragged the older boy out onto the balcony with him.

mark wasn't looking at the stars though, he was looking at the boy too distracted by them. he leaned against the railing of the balcony as he admired the lirtle asttology lover. he found it ironic, how their fans called him sunshine when the boy preferrered the night over the day, a time where tiny, bright dots covered the sky, even though most days they weren't able to be seen.

the moles on his face sort of reminded mark of the stars. usually, they'd be hidden under heavy foundation, foundation often a shade or two too light for the boy's skin tone. but on the days where the stylists decide to let them show were days where he looked most beautiful. in his opinion at least.

❝hyung.❞ haechan turned to look at the older boy and felt his face heat up a bit when he realized mark was staring at him. ❝um. . . hyung? is there—umm, is there something my face?❞

❝no.❞ mark shook his head, crossing his arms. ❝anyway, you were gonna ask something?❞

❝right, umm. . .❞ haechan tried to think of what he meant to sat. ❝oh yeah! don't you think stars are the coolest thing ever?❞ he asked excitedly. ❝they're so pretty and unique to the night! and don't you think it's interesting how one day, someone looked at a group of stars and thought 'huh, that looks like an archer!', or that one day, people decided that the stars were interesting enough to go to space and. . .❞

mark was no longer listening at that point, he was now smiling at the younger. fans didn't know this, but haechan was the biggest astronomy dork in the whole world. whenever he shares a room with someone at a hotel, whoever shared a room with him comes out with a new astronomy fact every time. he found it adorable, how the younger could be so different from his usual little devil persona on camera.
