Chapter 19: I forgot my keys

The blue assassin who saw all his teammates get killed by a single man whose shirt isn't even tainted by a single drop of blood couldn't help but shiver when Atlas looked at him. 'He's probably going to torture me to get information, I better die than suffer' this is what the assassin was thinking at the moment.

"You'll pay for this!" the assassin said as he bit off his tongue. Atlas who saw this rush towards the assassin to prevent him from suiciding, but a hand pulled him.

"Let him die," Alia said coldly. Even though she's still in shock after seeing Atlas defeat 4 highly trained assassins she still has her reasonings. The assassin won't give them any information even if they tried to pry him open, they've been trained to keep secrets. Staying any longer will only bring more harm than good.

'What a cold woman' Atlas said in his head after hearing her statement. He's clueless about the reason why Alia wants the assassin to die. He shivered in fear of her after realizing how cold she is. He vowed to never offend this woman again. Then he remembered that Alia shouted at him at the convenience store. 'She won't kill me right?' Atlas said in his head as he looked towards Alia's cold beautiful face.

Alia who felt the gaze of Atlas couldn't help but turn her around and meet his gaze head-on. After seeing the expression on Atlas' face she couldn't help but blush and hide her face from him 'Why is he looking at me like that?' Alia said in her head as she blushed for unknown reasons. After seeing that gaze she has forgotten the fact that Atlas just killed 4 people.

"Let's go home!" Alia said in her cold voice. Atlas just followed her to avoid being killed by her. However, after several turns Atlas noticed that they're going in circles, they still haven't found the exit from this alley.

'Scan for the exit' Atlas commanded. He decided to take this into his hands because Alia is getting lost again.

'Scan Complete'

The system gave him a complete 3d mad that indicates the route towards the exit of this dark alley.

Atlas saw that Alia was about to take a turn again grabbed her hand and pulled her as he walks towards the exit. He just wanted to go home by now. It's been a very long day for him, he got scolded, he discovered a lab, he found out the identity of the old man, he runs together with Alia, and he killed 4 persons. All of this happened in one night.

After they reached the main street Atlas let go of Alia's hands. Alia felt somehow disappointed after seeing this.

"Aren't you gonna ask me about what happened?" Alia took the initiative to ask him, after all, he saved her life not only once but twice. He couldn't be considered as a stranger to her anymore.

"I don't want to know, knowing what it is will only bring more harm than good" Atlas said, even though he's curious about what just happened it's not enough to pass through his cautious personality. The situation involves lives, it's not a small matter. Knowing more will only harm him, so he'd rather be ignorant than be involved in this matter.

After hearing this Alia gets the point of Atlas. Knowing more will only bring harm indeed, plus she can't afford to expose her identity yet. Their family doesn't only have one enemy, exposing herself means exposing the weakness of their family.

The walk under the moonlight proceeded in silence. The two of them is still in shock, death and killing isn't something that one can disregard easily. Especially for Atlas, he "killed" 4 persons even though it's the old man who controlled his body, he still felt and saw everything. Even Alia who was already exposed to this cruel world couldn't help but shiver in fear earlier what more to Atlas who never anticipated that he would kill someone in his life.
