Prologue ~ Once Upon A Time

[author note: hi, hope you're doing well during these hectic times. it's very early in the morning for me rn as im typing this, so the ending is very lackluster. ill probably edit it at a later date. anyways, dunno when ill update, been taking online classes and obsessively watching MHA, but here take the prologue for now :/]

a long, long time ago, two main races reigned over the earth...

the humans... and the monsters... 

both whom possessed unique and powerful abilities... 

both whom could access and manipulate the s o u l .

the age of peace had lasted many years among the people

monsters and humans were thriving with each other

creating, and making their communities flourish 

however, not everybody could be united together

for both some humans and monsters could not see eye to eye

and so an ever growing seed of darkness was planted

and it was bloom into a chasm of pure hatred 

in other words, peace was not to last

soon after as fate would have it, war broke out between the two races

the stakes were high on both sides

for the humans, it was their solely their pride and the threat of causalities

for the monsters, it was the threat of an unspeakable banishment to a forgotten world beneath the surface

the war would surprisingly not last long

however, both sides sustain massive injuries and quite a few causalities

and eventually, after the final battle was over, the humans were victorious

in order to cement their victory, they sealed the monsters underground with a magic spell

many, many years would pass...

now lost to myth and legend, the monsters and the war were forgotten

and for most, the ability to manipulate the soul was lost, too
