Jim's POV:

I knew how almost everyone in Arcadia didn't know that I was a troll yet. So when Toby and I had reached our school, what made me go inside was the constant reminder in my head that because of that, I should have nothing to be nervous about.

Just because Arcadia had been exposed to the vast civilisation of Trolls lurking beneath us, didn't mean that they knew I was the Trollhunter yet either. Except for Steve and Eli and maybe Darci and Mary now as well.

"Okay. Hurry," Toby said as soon as we opened the doors into the school corridor.

"I will go and find Senor Uhl," I told him.

"But Jim. He might be having a lesson right now-"

"Does that really matter at this very minute...?"

"What?" Toby asked as my words faltered.

"The lights," I said. Now doing a 360 turn in the middle of the hallway to see that all of them had been switched off and that the corridor was unusually dark in itself. "Someone has cut the electricity."

"Creepy," Toby said when he noticed what I had.

"Yeah," I agreed. "Maybe that's why it's also so quiet. Tobes. Go get Eli and Steve. I will try and find Senor Uhl. We have to evacuate the school before Donmar gets here."

"Copy that, Trollhunter," Toby said before running off down the hallway as I ran the other way to get to Mr Strickler's old office.

"Senor Uhl?" I called when I had opened the door. "Senor Uhl...?" I asked again. At first their was nothing.

No sign of any teachers or students. It almost felt like a ghost town until, "Mr Lake?" I almost wanted to sigh from relief at the sound of Senor Uhl's voice. Never before had I been so happy to see Senor Uhl the Unforgiving until now. I turned around to see him standing in the doorway.

"Senor Uhl," I started. Knowing that he wasn't too happy to see me.

"Where have you been? Ever since the invasion, no one has had any sign of you over a week-"

"Arcadia is in danger, Senor Uhl. Please. I know I was never your favourite student, but I need you to evacuate the school. Send everyone to the hall-"

"Mr Lake, what on earth do you mean?"

"It's difficult to explain," I told him hurriedly. "Please Senor. But it's part of the reason why I haven't been in Arcadia for the past week. I know it's difficult to believe, but with help I can stop this upcoming invasion. You just have to trust me," I said with the biggest amount of desperation I could muster right then.

"Okay fine. I believe you, Mr Lake. Even though yes, you are right. You were never my favourite student. I will give word to the rest of the teachers," he said.

"Thank you, Senor Uhl." Then I rushed out of his office to find Toby where he hopefully had Steve and Eli with him too. It didn't take me long to find them. We bumped into each other outside in the quad by the lockers and bicycle racks.

"Toby!" I said. Beyond happy to see him. "Senor Uhl knows about Donmar. Now we just have to protect the school once everyone has been taken to the hall."

"Jim?!" A couple of familiar voices said at once. That's when I noticed that Toby not only had Steve and Eli with him. But Darci and Mary too, along with Aja and Krel.

"Where have you been?" Krel asked me.

"No time to explain," I said. "But I'm glad you are all here. Extra help is on the way too. Something is coming-"

It was as if Donmar had heard me because just then another loud blast erupted from around us again. This time making the floor underneath us shudder slightly.

"Aah, I don't know about you guys," Mary said. "But if that's what I think it is then shouldn't we also be going to the hall."

"Mary is right," Darci said. "TP?" She then asked Toby who was standing next to her.

"Yeah Jim. I know you're the Trollhunter and all, but I'm with Mary and Darci on this one," Toby said.

"No. Mary is right," I said, surprising them. "We should all get inside. It's not safe out here."

"Yeah. No kidding, Buttsnack," Steve joked which made me glare at him for a second.

"And what do you mean other help is coming?" Eli asked.

"You will see what I mean," I told him. "Come on then. Let's go too before its too late."

When we arrived at the hall, most of the students and teachers were already inside making their places in the stands. So as we made our way inside, I wasn't too concerned with the reaction most of the school gave at my unexpected entrance as I knew myself that I wasn't the most important thing right now.

If anything that was Donmar. "And they say that chivalry is dead. You know, Jimbo. Sometimes I think that getting a C- on a Spanish test is better than putting your life at risk most of the time," Toby told me as we took in what was happening all around us.

His words made me laugh for a second. "Yeah. Me too, Tobes. I'm sorry for not coming to you earlier."

"Mr Lake," Senor Uhl said, interrupting us. "Here. Since you have a better idea of what's going on, I would like you to tell the school what you told me."

Then before I could tell him otherwise, he handed me the microphone. And as I made my way to the front of the stands I tried my best to ignore the many whispers that included my name in them.

"Um..." I started. "I know you must all be pretty confused right now. But you're only here because something is coming. Something more dangerous than Gunmar who was the leader of the troll army that tried to invade Arcadia just over a week ago. Which by now, I'm sure you're all well aware of their existence. Yes Trolls exist! And now I'm here to warn you unlike last time..."

A more violent tremble erupted from the ground again. This time silencing my loud voice while getting the rest of the school to utter questions amongst themselves no a doubt about the whereabouts of these trembles.

Then before anyone else could say something the most unexpected thing happened and the floor burst open in front me as something else came shooting out towards the roof.

"JAMES LAKE JUNIOR!" an evil voice cackled from above me. "If it isn't Merlin's very own Champion."

"Donmar," I said more to myself than to my new enemy who was now looking at me through the ceiling where the blast had formed a hole in.

"You don't know how long I've been waiting for this, Trollhunter," Donmar sneered from above.

"That makes one of us!" I said.

"No Jim!" Toby cried. But it was too late.

"FOR THE GLORY OF MERLIN DAYLIGHT IS MINE TO COMMAND!" I shouted. Then with a last thrust from me, I threw the Sword of Daylight as high as I could to try to strike Donmar down.
