Jim's POV:

"HICCUP!" I shouted before Donmar could fling him off the roof as if he weighed nothing more than a fly.

I will admit. Being cheated in combat how Donmar had, brought back memories of my battle with Gunmar and Angor Rot just over a week ago. Bad memories if anything.

"You wear a troll's armour. Now you share our skin. But inside, you will still bleed red."

I remembered those words of Gunmar's as clearly as the battle that was happening before me now. And with his very own brother. So to speak.

And just as I thought things were about to get worse, Hiccup showed up to help me out and then Merlin himself along with Blinky. "MERLIN!" I heard Hiccup shout from below. Until I realised that his cry was a signal for me to try and take out Donmar again which I did.

Thanks to Hiccup, Donmar was blinded for a second from the bright red light that shot out from Hiccup's amulet just like mine did when I destroyed it to get to Merlin's tomb with Toby and Claire. Which I used to my advantage.

"Rule number 3!" I shouted before attempting to kick him in the gronknux. Donmar groaned as I did, but recovered quickly.

No, I then thought. Instantly realising what Hiccup had just done afterwards. So before Donmar could get his bearings again, I used his distraction to leap behind him and then with one final thrust, I sliced down Daylight threw him just as I had done with Gunmar. I guessed that answered my question then. So maybe I still could have defeated Gunmar if I had been human like now.

Because then Donmar gave out a cry of surprise before exploding into a million pieces of rubble that shattered out onto the roof and fell down through the hole into the school hall beneath us.

And because the explosion was so huge, at the same time the impact threw me off the roof too. Sending me flying to the ground. "JIM!" Claire shouted as she saw me fall.

Just before I could black out, I felt two strong hands catch me in the air and a familiar voice said, "Calling for duty."

Strickler? I thought.

Then I did black out for good.

I didn't want to leave the fight for the rest of my friends. But Donmar hadn't given me a choice. As when I woke up, it seemed that Merlin had managed to defeat Donmar's companion with the help of Toby's stone.

That plus effecting me as well because when I lifted up my right hand, I saw four fingers instead of five. Oh no, I thought. Knowing that I had turned back into a troll.

"Young Atlas," a voice then said. I leaned up to look at Strickler behind me.

"S-Strickler?" I asked back. "You saved me," I then said.

"Master Jim. Thank Deyre you're okay." That's when I noticed Blinky and Toby standing next to him.

"Jim?" Mary and Darci asked. I stood up. Knowing that Strickler had placed me in the shade where I couldn't burn.

"Yes. Hi guys," I said to them weakly.

"Whoa," Steve said. "You're definitely not a Buttsnack anymore, Buttsnack."

"Thanks Steve," I laughed.

"So this is what you weren't telling me about?" Hiccup asked me. I could only see him when our small fro up parted for him to reveal Hiccup and Toothless walking towards me.

"I'm sorry, Hiccup. I just didn't want to startle you. And I also wanted to be human for one last time..."

It was his unexpected hug that cut me off. "It's okay, Jim. It's not like you didn't defeat Donmar. And thanks to Merlin, the Black Death has been defeated too."
