Hiccup's POV:

"Toothless!" I called once Claire had Shadow portalled us back to Trollmarket. "Toothless?" I asked.

We ended up finding him with Merlin back in Blinky's library. "Toothless," I said again.

"Hiccup?" Merlin asked. "Where's Jim?"

"In Arcadia with Toby trying to barricade the school from Donmar's invasion," Claire explained hurriedly when Toothless bounded over to me excitedly.

"Yes. I know. It's good to see you too, bud," I said while giving him a quick hug.

"We're going back there now," I added. "And if you're thinking of stopping us, Merlin, don't bother trying. Claire?" I asked.

"On it," she said. Then thrust out her staff to create another portal for us before Merlin could say the most unexpected thing which was, "Then let me come with you. I can help-"

"And me," Blinky said.

"Then lets go," I said.

I came flying in on Toothless when I saw Jim fighting against Donmar on the roof of their school. Below, Claire stayed down to help Toby and their friends defend the ground from the new battalion of Dragons and along with some goblins and bad trolls of their own.

"Incoming!" I then warned just as Toothless fired out a Plasma Blast directed to Donmar.

And for a minute as Toothless and I watched from afar, Donmar lost his bearings which allowed Jim to slash Daylight across his cheek. Giving him the element of surprise.

Astrid would be proud. Jim looked up at my appearance. "Thanks bro!" He called out to me which made me smile.

However, our winning hand didn't last for long though. "You may have been able to defeat Gunmar, Trollhunter. But you forget. I am his brother! And for that. You will pay!"

Oh no you don't, I thought before remembering that like Jim I was now the Dragonhunter. Not very fitting from going against everything that we stand for. But that's not how I saw it.

"FOR THE POWER OF DONMAR, MOONLIGHT IS MINE TO COMMAND!" I said. Then before I could have second thoughts about what I was planning to do, I stood up on Toothless and leapt off his back towards the roof of the school where with one final yell, as Jim plunged his sword into Donmar's chest, I attempted to slice mine across his waist at the same time.

"Take that, Donmar!" I said.

"For our father," Jim agreed.

Then the most unexpected thing happened. Just as we thought that we had won, Donmar started to cackle. Which grew louder and louder until he said, "You think you can destroy me? Hiccup Haddock III? Yes, I know who you are," he added at my surprised face. "Son's of Arthur. As long as Hiccup has his amulet I am untouchable! That plus, because of your desired goals to defeat me, you have completely neglected the fight below... that, plus my companion."

So far I didn't like the sound of that.
On another note, Donmar was right. Because Jim and I were too focused on winning the battle at hand, I failed to dodge Donmar's blow as his trolllike fist came plunging towards me.

"HICCUP!" Jim cried just as I felt myself get thrown off the roof where I fell onto the ground with a loud thud.

It was unexpected. Because just as I hit the ground, the school building before us exploded into rubble where in its wake approached something worse than the Red Death and the Skrill back from Berk. Yes it was a dragon. But it was nothing that I had ever seen before.

Bigger than the Red Death itself, it was black like Toothless. But didn't at all fit the description of a Night Fury. No. This was something much worse than that. "Yeah. Let's fight!" Claire said from my right as goblins began to surround her outside the school.

Even Toby was kicking butt with his mighty Warhammer at the other bad trolls that now threatened to consume us. For a moment it looked like we could win. Opposite me I saw two kids manage to trap one of the trolls in a dustbin and slam it into a tree not too far away from them. They cheered at each other out of victory. "Yeah. Creepslayerz!" Then they made this weird signature motion with their hands. Cupping them above each others in the shape of a C.

Toothless came bounding over to me whom I was more than happy to see. "Toothless. Come on," I said before getting up onto him. "Show them what you got, bud."

Then just as we lifted up into the air an idea on how to beat Donmar suddenly came to me which made me feel stupid inside for a minute. Because it was so simple. Yet at the same time, if Donmar hadn't said it then I probably wouldn't have thought it either.

As if on cue, Merlin had to make his appearance then which was quiet dramatic if I did say so myself. Next thing I knew he was standing there suspended in the air before me. Holding some sort of staff in his hand. "Merlin!" I shouted up at him. "I have an idea how to defeat Donmar. It's not the best, but right now it's the only way."

"Then do it, Dragonhunter. I will help Jim while you do!"

Then before he could have any second thoughts about my idea and try to stop me, we flew down to Toby as there was something that I needed from him. "Toby?" I said while helping him fight off the many trolls that came running towards us with Moonlight and Toothless's Plasma Blasts. "It's going to sound crazy. But I think that if we want to have any chance of defeating Donmar, I have to destroy my amulet. And that's not just coming from me," I said.

"But Hiccup," Toby protested. "You do know what that means though, don't you? With no Moonlight Blade, you can't armour up. And if you can't armour up... goodbye Moonlight Blade-"

"I know," I said. Then just before the huge black mass of Donmar's companion could come crashing down on us, someone else called out in warning from next to us. Which from behind, Merlin used his magic to try and put a stop to him.

"WINGMAN!" A large green troll said before pushing Toby and I out of the way with his large fists.

"Thanks Wingman," Toby said. "Okay then, Hiccup. I'm guessing you want to use my Warhammer for that?"

"If you will let me?" I said. At his words, I took off my amulet.

"Anything for Jim's brother," Toby said. Once we were out of danger, Toby didn't hesitate to hand me his Warhammer. I knew he trusted me. And I trusted him.

"MERLIN!" I shouted. "ONCE IT'S DESTROYED TELL JIM THAT'S IT OVER. THAT HE SHOULD TRY AGAIN!"

That was all that Merlin needed to hear before I could lift up Toby's Warhammer as Toby himself laid down my amulet on the floor before me and the school. "For the Power of Donmar..." I said without breaking eye-contact with the red glowing amulet. Toothless standing right next to me.

Then there was a loud explosion and a burst of light when the Warhammer came into contact with my amulet. Shattering it into tiny little pieces that would now and for always be lost forever.
