Ch. 1

~Becky's P.O.V.~

I walked outside and locked the house door. My mom had left a couple hours ago and I was going to school. I turned around to see my best friend, Austin Mahone.

"Hey Becky." he smiled.

"Hey Austin. What are you doing here?" I ask confused.

"I was just wondering if you wanted a ride to school." Austin shrugged.

"Sure." I smiled. I walked down to his car and he helped me in. I'm not that short until you put me next to someone tall. I started to mess with the music settings but got completely confused.

"Hey! What are you doing?" Austin laughed getting in.

"Trying to turning music on." I answer. He hits a button and it turns on. "No fair!" I yell.

"My car just hates you." Austin laughed. I laughed with him as we drove to the school. I got out of the car and grabbed my bag. Then me and Austin walked into the school.

"Hey look, it's short stuff and Mahone." a girl said. I rolled my eyes and kept walking. Austin may be famous, but that doesn't mean he's changed. Much.

"Leave her alone, Hilary." Austin says. Hilary was Austin's old girlfriend. He broke up with her a long time ago and she's still upset. She doesn't want any girl dating Austin and thinks of me as a threat.

"Why?" Hilary asked.

"Because I told you to. So back off." Austin said. Hilary rolled her eyes and walked off.

"She drives me insane." I groan. Austin chuckled but we kept walking to our class.

"Hey, my manager has a new song for me to do. It's called 'Magik 2.0.' " Austin said.

"So?" I asked.

"They need a girl to rap the two verses." Austin smiled. I froze. Then turned to face him slowly.

"Are you saying you want me to rap for your record?" I asked. He nodded. He knew how much this would mean to me. I've been trying to get a record deal for years and now he just comes up with an idea.

"If you want to." he said. I squealed and hugged him.

"Thank you, thank you, thank you!" I said. Austin lauged at me then picked me off the ground so I would stop jumping.

"Calm down there, kangaroo." he laughed. I crossed my arms.

"This is not even sorta fair." I tell him.

"What do you mean?" Austin asked.

"You're like, six feet tall and I'm barely five!" I tell him. He just laughs then puts me down.

"But no more jumping." he said. I rolled my eyes as we walked into the classroom.

After school, Austin drove me to his record company so we could record the song. I was so nervous, I was rubbing my hands back and forth.

"Calm down, Becky. You're gonna do fine." Austin said. I just nodded as he parked the car. I got out and followed him inside.

"Ah, Austin! Is this the girl you were telling me about?" a man asked.

"Yup. Becky Gomez." Austin said.

"So nice to meet you. My name is Mark. I work with Austin and he said you'd love to rap for us." the man smiled. I smiled back and, again, freaked out. Only this time I did it on the inside.

"Where's the music?" Austin asked. Mark handed Austin a sheet that had words scribbled down. Austin handed it to me and I read it. It was actually a pretty good song.

"Memorize that. We would like to get this song done in two days." Mark said. I didn't even look up. I just kept reading it.

"Got it." I state and look up. Mark looks surprised. So does Austin.

"What?" Mark asked.

"I know the song now. Let's do this." I told him.
