As I make my way to the diner, I start to feel uneasy. Like someone was watching me. I quicken my pace until I make it into town where more people are around. I spot the diner and quickly walk in. I find an empty booth and sit down.

While I'm waiting for someone to come take my order, someone with a black hoodie comes in and sits in a booth a couple booths away from mine facing me. I glance at them. The person is looking down at the table with their arms propped on the table.

"Are you ready to order, honey?" A waitress comes over to me and asks.

"Oh hey Joyce. Yeah I'm ready." I say with a small smile. I order bacon, eggs and pancakes with a cup of coffee.

"It'll be right out, sweetie" Joyce says as she finishes writing on her order pad. She makes her way towards the kitchen and shouts back my order to the cooks.

The person with the hoodie hasn't moved at all. They've just been sitting there. Are they...staring at me? No. They can't be. I'm just being paranoid. They do look oddly familiar...they look like the figure from my dream. The figure that was following me yesterday.

My thoughts are interrupted by Joyce bringing over my food.

"Here you go, sweetie. Enjoy." Joyce says while setting down my food and walking away.

I try to clear my head and enjoy my food. I occasionally look at my phone while eating my food. I hear the small bell ring above the door as someone enters. I look up to see Josh, my ex boyfriend.

"Shit..." I mutter quietly.

He turns and spots me. He starts walking over to my table. He gets to my booth and sits down in front of me.

"Hey...Y/N. About yesterday...-" I cut him off.

"I don't wanna hear it. Just leave me alone." I say not making eye contact with him. He reaches across the table to touch my hand.

"Y/N..." he says softly. I quickly pull my hand away.

"I said leave me the hell alone. I do not want to talk to you." I say as I finish my food.

He sighs and stands up, ready to leave. He looks at me one more time before turning around and leaving. I sip my coffee as he exits. The person in the hoodie is still here. I can feel them staring at me.

As I'm deep in thought about who this mysterious person could be, someone else of my inconvenience enters. Heather Marshal. An old high school bitch who thought she ruled the school. She spots me and a sickening grin spreads across her face as she struts over to me.

"Well hey there, Y/N. How are you and Joshy doing?" She says in faux sweet tone, her grin growing even bigger.

"We broke up, Heather. What the hell do you care?" I ask, clearly pissed off.

"Oh no! How unfortunate. That's just awful" she says in a fake sympathetic tone. I roll my eyes.

"Can you stop bothering me already? I'm trying to enjoy my morning." I say, taking another sip of my coffee.

"Okay okay. I'll leave you alone for now. See ya later, Y/N~" she says while giggling and strutting away.

I huff and finally finish my coffee. Joyce comes over with the check.

"What's wrong? That Heather girl bother you?" she says sweetly in her southern accent, patting me on my shoulder.

"Yeah. She's trying her best to annoy me. It's obvious." I sigh.

"Well just try your best to ignore her. You know how that girl and her friends are" Joyce says while setting the bill down.

I pay and start to head out. I pause for a moment. "I'll see you later, Joyce." I say while waving. She waves back and I make my way to the door.

The figure leaves their table and makes their way to the door. I quickly exit and start walking home. I stop and check my phone. 11:47 AM. It's still pretty early in the day. I decide to stop at a nearby clothing store and look around for a little bit. I turn around to see if the figure was still following me. Whoever it was is gone now.

I make my way into the store and make my way to the band tees like I usually do. I look at different shirts and check prices. The clothes here are surprisingly cheap but good quality. I pick up a few different shirts and a new pair a boots and make my way to the cashier. She scans my things and bags them up. I pay for my stuff, take my bags and head home.

On my way out, I bump into someone.

"Oh I'm sorry. I..didn't see you" I say as I look up at the person. It was the same person in the black hoodie that had been following me.

From up close, I can tell it's a man. I can't see his eyes at all because his hood was covering them. I quickly walk around him and speed walk home. On my way home, I feel the sudden feeling of eyes on me. I look around to see absolutely no one.

I make my way home and check my phone. 12:53 PM. I'll go out later for lunch...maybe. I take off my shoes and jacket and sit on the couch. I turn on the TV and search for movie.

I decide to watch "The Exorcist" and get comfy. After about half of the movie, I hear something coming from the kitchen. I turn around and look towards the kitchen. I pause the movie and listen.

Silence.

I get up and go in the kitchen. Nothing seems out of place. I look out of the kitchen window and see nothing out of the ordinary. What was I hearing? Was it just my imagination?

I turn around and to go back into the living room but I stop in the door way. The man in the hoodie was standing in my living room in front of my TV. He had his back towards me.

"Who the hell are you and how did you get in here??!" I say with aggression in my voice.

He says nothing. I can tell I've gotten his attention. He turns around slightly.

"Hey-" I feel my body freeze. I can't speak at all.

I hear loud white noise as my vision slowly fades to black. I feel my body fall to the floor as the hooded man walks over to me. My vision goes completely black as I lose consciousness.
