I looked around and everything was so much sharper and clearer, as if my vision got ten times better. And I could hear a deer 50 km away from where I was, running around and breaking some branches while it was doing so.

Wait. I shouldn't be able to hear that.

I tried to stand on my feet but as I got up, I only got on my four pa...
What? No I meant feet. Wait I don't have FOUR feet.

I slowly looked down, to see two dirty white grey-ish paws which both shook like jelly and I suddenly plopped on my belly.

How is this possible? The last time I looked in a mirror I had 2 feet, 2 arms and not a fricking tail on my butt! What?

I started to panic and my breath quickened, as I was about to faint. Suddenly a voice spoke to me in brain. ,, Calm down, love. I am here don't worry. " the velvety voice said and it made me jump a bit, because I was certainly not expecting that. I mean I know I was crazy for sure after all I see paws not feet anymore, but I didn't thought I was that mad that I already heard voices in my brain.

,, You're not mad, believe me, love. Now look ahead and you will see that you are not alone and I will help you through this, seeing that that was your first time shifting ever." said the calming voice.

And I immediately had the urge to believe everything that the Angels voice said to me, so I followed my instincts and looked up.

I front of me was still the huge black wolf I saw before but it was like he bathed himself in that delicious woody and rainy day smell. Now that I was kind of smaller than him, I knew that it was a male. Gee, get your mind out of the gutter Katherine ! Not the best moment for that you have bigger problems.

I was so attracted towards him, as if he had a spell on me which compelled me to be on his side, feel his touch and his presence all the time.

,, I feel just the same as you towards yourself, darling. You don't even know how much strength it takes for me to not just mark you as mine right here and right now." The velvety voice said again.

Mark me as his? Now I am really going insane I mean............is the wolf talking through my mind to me ?

,, Yes I am and no you are not crazy, love. Stop thinking that." He said again and even growled a bit.

I can't believe I am even trying this but I thought about something that I have been thinking about the last few minutes

,, Am I a wolf too ? "
,, Yes." I knew it already but I'd didn't want to believe it. I really hoped I was wrong or dreaming and I would wake up any minute but I know that it wouldn't happen. Nothing good ever happens to me. Except him.

Wait what? Katherine get it together!

,, O-okay, I-I am guessing you are one as well ? " I asked shakily in my head, still not used to this mind linking thing.

,, Yes, love. I know you have a lot of questions already forming in your head but you need to shift back to your human form so I can answer all of them and can tell you what you have to know to survive a life like this one."

Well, thanks big scary wolf now I am just scared and I don't know how to shift back to my human from.

,, Please don't be, I am always here to help you, just think of yourself. Of your body, how your fingers feel and how it feels to run with two feet. Also please do not call me scary, I may look intimidating but I could never hurt you, love. Before that happens I would rather die. " he said.

I do not know why he said the last part but it still warmed my entire body in a good way, a very good way.

Ok back to business. I thought of my black wavy hair and my feet that hit the ground when I ran to my mom to tell on Connor, my brother. That thought automatically made me smile and I felt how I shifted from my wolf form to my normal body again, just not that painful as before which was a good surprise.

I wanted to open my eyes and thank the mysterious velvety voice for the help, but as I opened them everything started turning and I only saw the silhouette of a tall muscular man before my body was about to hit the ground. Which it never did.

The last thing I felt ,were strong arms who held me to a very warm body and the Sparks on my skin wherever he touched me, before the darkness engulfed me completely.
