Chapter Thirty-One
"What? How should I know?" I said, "I'm not even allowed to leave this room! Let alone if I am even physically able to."
A quiet moan called from the end of the bed; Ryan shifting in her sleep.
"Ahh! No so loud!" he whispered, his finger hushing over his lips.
"It's nothing Zayn," I told him, "She a total deep sleeper. Just like this nugget over here," I said nudging my elbow into the lifeless body beside me; his face planted into the pillow with his arms and legs lined straight beside him.
"um... who is that anyway...?" I looked up from the corps to the awkward stance boy shifting his weight between his feet.
"Ryan's older brother," I said biting my tongue as I held in my laughing urge. His stance brightened as soon as I mentioned it. I felt the need to asked why but I didn't.
"Okay umm... I guess I'll go then," he announced, his voice hushed and captivated for Ryan's sake.
He turned slowly for the door but whether it'd be out laziness or it being no later than four in the morning, I called out to him, "Wait!"
His immediate reaction was turning back to me; it didn't take much effort. His eyes connected with mine and I whipped off the duvet, the cool air pricking my skin. "What are you doing?" he said.
I pushed myself, sliding on the sheets to the edge of the bed; inching my way to the carpet. "You woke me up this early," I said, "You may as well take me for a stroll."
I slipped off the bed and hit the floor with a light 'Thud'. Steadying myself, I balanced out my weight on each of my feet. I felt like this was the first time I'd walked in days, which truthfully was the truth.
I made my own attempt to walk over to Zayn, in more of a wobbling motion than a walk. He caught me as a fell on to him. "Are you sure you should be walking?" he asked.
I tilted my head from my fall into him, "Of course," I replied, "I didn't break my legs or anything. I just have a nasty looking bruise that is killing right now."
He let go of me as I stood up and bent down slightly. "Climb on my back," he said, "It will be better on your hip."
I stared a moment watching him before a climb on. His hands lightly latched onto my legs and I placed my hand onto each should leaning back slightly. His hand pulled away grabbing my hand and tugging it, and my body, forward towards him. "Your slipping," he said, "It's alright I don't mind, you just hang on."
So this is the boy that took Ryan's first kiss. Maybe there is more to him than the eye can see.
"Where to?" he asked walking towards the elevators.
"Umm.. I guess a little hungry." I said, "You think they serve breakfast at this hour."
"You're with me, they'll serve it at any hour," he said flashing a quick smile before hoisting me up more on his back.
