Narrator's POV :

Boomer looked at his brothers with tears in his eyes, wanting to hug and be with them again. He knew he can't; life doesn't work that way. He thought, he was supposed to be dead so why bother to show up ? The blonde couldn't do anything about it. When his family was inside, he slowly flew away from their house, not looking back as he knew it would only hurt more. When he was far enough, he stopped mid-air, looking at the buildings below him. "What am I to do ? I want to be with them again..." He whispered quietly to himself.

He went back to his own home.

You may be wondering; what home ? Well, the day after the incident, he was actually hiding in a nearby trash bin until somebody found him. At first, he acted mean because he didn't trust the man, but when he was offered to stay at his place, his desperate state made him agree. The man, called Evan Yamato (or Yamato Evan in English, since the man is half Japanese) was a nice person. Pretty wealthy too.

When he spotted the familiar house that he was now living in, he floated down to the ground.

He looked at the house and went in, quickly noticing how quiet it is. 'Of course, father values silence in this house.' He reminded himself. He looked everywhere, admiring all of the decorations and expensive furniture only the richest could afford. There were vases, paintings, small statues and more; all displayed neatly around the main hall. In the center of the large room where the double stairs were at, there was a painting.

A painting of him and the man.

They had just gotten it recently, a gift from a friend. He was amazed how with such little time they had created a masterpiece of a portrait. The blonde, after staring at the painting for a few minutes, flew back to his room. Boomer was adjusting to this new life, and at the same time he was adjusting to the role of a perfect son. Not like Yamato asked for him to be perfect, but he was just embarrassed of being in a fancy house of a wealthy man but having the behavior of a brat.

The young boy sighed.

It would be difficult, but it was worth it if it was for the man who saved him when he was at his lowest. He sat on his bed and was about to go to sleep, when a knock was heard. Curious, Boomer called from his bedroom "Come in." In a few seconds the door creaked open and a man in his late 30's came in. He wore a blue suit and had blonde slicked back hair, just a but like his own appearance except that his hair was not slicked, nor did he have any wrinkles. The smile on his face indicated how happy he was of...whatever he was happy about.

"Hikari," he said, smiling at his son. 'Hikari' was the name he had chosen to call him after he adopted him. It meant "light", which in Kurobami Yamato's (his father) case meant Boomer was the light of his once lonely world. A bit cliché, but it was true. "Yes Otōsan ?" He asked, standing up from his bed. "A friend of mine has asked to meet you, son. He was very excited when he's heard that I have a family now..." The man's happy smile turned into a fond one, full of love and joy.

"Anata ni aete totemo shiawasedesu." (I'm very happy to have you.)

Boomer— now Hikari, smiled back at his father in delight. "Watashi to onaji, chichi." (Same with me, father.)

For the rest of the day, they spent having fun riding bicycles inside the mansion, reading books and many more.

"Aishiteruyo, otōsan."
