"There's something in there!" Mike yelled, stating the obvious. "Yeah, no shit!" Max yelled back, "Somebody do something!" she shouted not knowing what to do. "Keep her talking! Keep her awake!" Jonathan instructed, as he got up and ran towards the food court at full speed. "You know it's not actually that bad, there's this girl on my soccer team, Beth Wildfire, she was the goalie, and this other girl slid into her leg, and the whole bone came out of her knee, six inches or something it was insane," Robin ranted, as I looked at her confused. "Rob?" I called, "Yeah?" she looked at me. "Not helping," I told her shaking my head. "I'm sorry," she says nervously, as I slide my hand into hers.
Jonathan came back running with a knife in hand, "El? This is gonna hurt like hell okay?" he warned as he crouched down. "Okay," El groans. "You're gonna want to bite down on this," the older boy said as he handed her a wooden spoon, which Mike gently placed it in El's mouth. Jonathan began cutting into her leg, as El screamed in pain. He reached his fingers into the cut and El's screams grew louder and louder.
"No!" she yelled, spitting out the spoon, "Stop it!" Jonathan withdrew his hand and El sat up, "I can do it myself," she groaned. She reached her hand out and focused on the bloody gash on her leg. The glass behind them shattered as she removed whatever the thing was and threw it across the floor. My eyes followed the slimy slug-like thing as a boot suddenly squashed it. I looked up to see the chief of police, Hopper, and a woman beside him. Joyce Byers was involved in this? Her eyes were fixed on Will and Jonathan.
"That's the same creature as Dart," Sarah remarks, as Dustin nods, "It's a creature from the upside down," he explained. "The upside down?" I questioned. "It's almost like an another dimension, an alternate universe. Remember when Will went missing?" Dustin asks. "Yeah," Sarah and I reply. "That's where he was. He got stuck in the upside down," Dustin explains. "The demogorgan," Lucas starts to explain, "It passed through the gate from the upside down, but Eleven killed it. But then the Mind Flayer used Will as a host last year, we got it out of him and El closed the gate," he finishes. "Okay so what exactly is the problem now?" Sarah asks.
"The Mind Flayer, it built this monster in Hawkins," Mike continues, "To stop El, to kill her, to pave a way into our world. And in order to do that he's flaying people, using them as hosts," he explains. Finally it clicked, Billy's odd behavior, his erratic temper and his hollow eyes. "So B-Billy's....flayed?" I asked slowly trying to understand. "He is," Max replied, sadly, as I nodded.
