Time: 5:47
Omkara parks his bike in the chawl, only to see his mother stepping out of an auto. He locks his bike and then runs to his mother. He takes the bags of groceries from her hands and carries it.
Om: Aai! Tu yeh apun ko de. Tujhe apun ne kitni baar kaha hai ki tu bhari saaman mat utha. (Mom! You give this to me. I have told you so many times not to carry heavy stuff.)
Janhvi: Mera bacha. Aacha ek baat bata, tu woh Kalyani ko uske woh kagaz de aaya na? (My baby. Okay tell me one thing, did you give Kalyani her papers?)
Om looks at his mother and then thinks back to the classroom. He smiles when he thinks of Gauri, she was beautiful, and he was determined to make her his dulhaniya.
Janhvi: Omi!
Janhvi snaps Om out of his thoughts of Gauri. Om looks at his mother.
Janhvi: Kaye Zala? (What happened?)
[Kaye Zala means what happened in marathi]
Om: Kahe nhi. Waise tu aaj auto se? Sabzi mandi toh pass mein hi hai? (Nothing. By the way, you on the auto? The vegetable market is closeby na?)
[Kahe nhi means Nothing in Marathi.]
Janhvi: Woh raste pe na mistari lage hai. Koi dukan khul rahi hai. (There are construction workers. They are building a shop.)
Om: Ho? Mala mahit navhate. (Yeah? I didn't know.)
[Mala mahit navhate means I didn't know]
Omkara and Janhvi continue their conversation while they both climb the stairs, and then Janhvi opens the door to their house.
Janhvi: Ho! Mast se kam kar rahe hai woh mistari. (Yes! The workers are doing a fantastic job.)
Voice: Dhanyavad Janhvi ji. Woh kya hai na ki isstari karna bhi ek kala hai. (Thank you, Janhvi ji. The thing is that ironing is an art.)
Omkara and Janhvi both look at Tej confused. They see that he is ironing clothes. Janvhi and Omkara look at each other and Tej again.
(Ironing clothes is not for everyone, I mean whenever I iron clothes I keep two things in mind. First, the temperature of the iron and second, the number of wrinkles on clothes.)
Tej (continues): Jab bhi mujhe koi silwat dikhti hai toh main dekhta hoon ki woh kitni gehri hai, kitni kadak hai, phir uspe paani dalke.
Janhvi: Aaho! (Tej!)
Tej: Uske baad jitni isstari garam hai, usse aise yahan- (Then
Janhvi (shouting): Aaho! Neeche utariye, ghai kara, sambal ke. (Tej! Come down, hurry, and be careful.)
Omkara and Tej look at Janhvi shocked. She looks up and continues shouting. Tej unplugs the iron and then goes towards them.
Tej: Janhvi ji kai karta ahe? (Janhvi ji what are you doing?)
[kai karta ahe means what are you doing in Marathi]
Janhvi: Woh aap chane ki jhaad pe chade the na, main apko neeche utar rahi thi. (You climbed on a tall tree, I was helping you mount off.)
Omkara chuckles and then covers his mouth but continues laughing. Tej watches flabbergasted while Janhvi smiles sheepishly at him.
Omkara: Baba, hum isstari nhi mistari ke baare mein baat kar rahe the. (Dad, we were talking about workers not iron.)
