There was a huge storm outside in Missouri. The rain was slamming down on the roof, echoing around the house. The neighborhood was dark for the most part due to a power outage but occasionally it would look like day again as the lightning shone through the window. However it was the thunder that scared Sam. He always put on a brave face but he found it difficult when he was being jump scared by a booming sound.
With Cody normally being the scared one, he wasn't too sure how to comfort his boyfriend when he was like this.
Bang!
With that sound, Sam pretty much launched himself at Cody and placed his head in the crook of his boyfriends and started to tremble. Cody just drew circles on Sam's back and played with his hair to try and comfort him to sleep, which he succeeded at. Within half an hour, Sam was passed out. Forgetting about the storm outside.
It was now 2am and both the boys were asleep but only 1/2 of the pair were sleeping peacefully. Sam was having a huge nightmare. He was tossing and turning and murmuring in his sleep to the point where Cody woke up, worried about Sam.
Cody decided to take Sam into his arms and rock him telling him that it was ok, hoping that the pain his boyfriend was going through would end soon. Soon Sam arose from his slumber and just started crying, which was very out of character for him.
"Co-ody, th-they came a-and took you"
"Who came baby"
"Th-e ki-kidnappers and you di-dnt come back" and with that sentence Sam's crying became deeper and he was becoming short of breath.
"Breath, breath" Cody whispered, trying to look after his destressed boyfriend.
Once Sam had calmed down a bit, Cody began to talk.
"You will never loose me Sam, I will never leave you, and that's a promise. That dream will never happen because it was just a dream"
Sam didn't feel the need to verbally reply but he did pout his lips towards his partner, communicating that he wanted a kiss, a want that Cody granted.
Sam snuggled up against Cody again and went back to sleep. Not having the same dream, knowing that Cody would never leave him.
