Tsu's POV
I arrive in Sydney for the school's exchange program. I'm so excited to meet my exchange partner! I don't know much about her, but I know her name is Ivy. I don't know why we aren't allowed to talk to our exchange partners before we meet them, but it might be for safety. Anyway, it doesn't matter, because the school has lined up our partners with who will get along best, so I'm really positive that I'm going to have a good month here!
Mina, Jiro, Deku and I land in Australia, retrieve our bags from the baggage claim and look for the Crystal River Hero Academy officials. They said they would pick us up from the airport and take us to the school. When we finally spot them, it's a relief, as we don't want to be stranded at the airport. Sydney is a beautiful city. We pass the Sydney Opera House and the Harbour Bridge on the way to Crystal River.
We finally arrive at the dorms. They are quite similar to the UA dorms back in Japan. Each class has a different area where they sleep. Inside, the first floor is the general area, and the dorm rooms are upstairs. Mina, Jiro, Deku and I are given the rooms to go to. We have to share a dorm room with our partners, as there aren't any extra rooms. Usually, we would stay at their houses, but like us, Crystal River had to go to living in dorms to ensure the safety of the students. My room is Room 2 on floor 3. I go upstairs to the third floor and find the second room. The name next to it says "Ivy Regenbogen". I knock on the door, and a blonde girl opens the door.
"Hi there! You must be Tsuyu! I'm Ivy, and you're my exchange partner.""Hi," I respond to the excited girl. "It's nice to meet you. You can call me Tsu."
"Ok then, I will! Anyway, why don't you come in and unpack? You must be really tired from your flight."When I enter the room, the first thing I notice is the massive bookshelf. Turns out my exchange partner is a bit of a nerd! There's also a keyboard and a guitar in the corner. Apart from that, Ivy's room seems pretty normal. There's a wheel in bed next to her bed, which is clearly meant for me.
"You can put your bags down over there in the corner," Ivy explains.
"Thanks, Ribbit!" I respond.
"Anyway, since we're going to be spending a lot of time together this month, I think we should get to know each other a bit first. What's your quirk? I'm assuming it has something to do with frogs!""Yeah, my quirk is Frog. I can do anything like a frog can, ribbit!"
"That's so awesome! And that explains why you're so cute as well."
I smile. Ivy is really nice so far! I hope we can be good friends.
"What's your quirk?" I ask.
"Oh mine's not as awesome as yours. My quirk is Poison Ivy, which means I can create poison ivy from my body and use it to give my enemies infections and wrap them in the vines. Kind of a coincidence that my name is in the quirk! I guess it was just meant to be." Ivy laughs.
I have to admit that was quite funny.
"Anyway," she continues, "Do you wanna rest for a bit? You must be exhausted from the flight and we have a very busy day tomorrow."
I feel really groggy, but I don't want to mess up my body clock."Actually I was going to unpack my bags if that's ok with you," I tell her.
"That's completely fine by me! Do you need help?"
"No thank you, I think I'll be fine."
"Ok Tsu. Here's the Wifi password. Make yourself at home! I'll leave you to it. I'm going to do my homework in the library, so you can have some time on your own. It was nice to meet you Tsu!" And with that Ivy leaves the dorm.I get into some fresh clothes, the clothes from the flight need a wash! Then I set up my laptop and message Ochaco and Iida to let them know that I've arrived in Sydney. They'll be happy to hear about it. Ochaco wanted to come with me, but her family don't have enough money to send her to Australia. I wish she and Iida were here with me now! At least I have Deku. And Mina and Jiro are here with me too. I'm glad Mineta didn't get picked. He'd just freak out all the girls and make everyone uncomfortable!
I lie down on my bed once I set up all my school work. I wonder how the others are doing? What are their exchange partners like? I can't wait to meet them! I hope they're as nice as Ivy!
Mina's POV
I can't wait to meet my exchange buddy! I've been looking forward to this for the last few months, so I'm hoping this experience will live up to my expectations. My exchange partner is named Celia. I find her room, labelled Room 4 on floor 2, and knock on the door.
"Come in," says a voice from inside. I enter to find Celia at her desk typing on her laptop. She gets up to introduce herself. "I'm Celia Lowell. Sorry I didn't open the door for you. I had to save my work quickly. Anyway, I believe you're my exchange partner! How are you?"
"I'm Mina, and I'm good thanks. So I'm assuming this is my bed here?" I ask, gesturing the plain wheel in bed in the room.
"Yeah that's yours. It would be nice if they could have given you better sheets. It's a bit dull at the moment!" exclaims Celia. "How was your flight? Are you tired from it?""The flight was ok, but I'm not tired at all! I wanna explore the school. Could you take me on a tour around the school please?"
"Of course I will! You're my exchange buddy, it's my job to show you the school and make your time here as awesome as it can be!" Celia says to me.
"Well what are you waiting for?" I ask. "Let's go!"
