Stern walks into the cafe at 20:33. He completely neglected the waiter's question if he had come alone as his mind and his eyes were busy searching. But he couldn't find a girl wearing pink anywhere. For a brief moment, his mind warned him again that it could be spam. But his heart didn't want to agree. He decided to wait for a few minutes to see if she would come. He goes and sits in the empty table and orders a drink. As he was waiting for the drink, a series of questions arose in his mind.

"Who could be the girl?
How did she find me?
Why does she want to meet me so badly?
What if she doesn't come?"

As these thoughts were taking refuge in his mind, a waiter comes up to him and hands him a note.

"You are on
the wrong table.
Come to the
2nd table
diagonally behind
you."

As soon as he read the note, his heart had started to race. The questions in his mind had instantly disappeared. Quickly, he turned his head and his upper body in the direction where the note had suggested. He is confused.

"How didn't I notice the pink hoodie before?"

He stands up and walks to the table. Both of them shake hands and Stern sits down. All they did from then was gaze at each other. The only time they spoke was when they gave their orders and that was with the waiter. Silence was their only medium of communication. Now and then, smiles volunteered to help them out too. Their eyes were transfixed at each other.
It was as of their eyes were best of best buddies. Not a single word had to be uttered and yet they could feel and understand what the other was thinking. Words came out one after the other, but as light rays falling on their eyes. The way they breathed somehow synced. One could hear the heartbeat of the other, both in unison yet intense. For them, all these were enough.

When the bill came, both of them reached their wallets and paid their share. After that, instead of heading to the exit door, both of them went into the men's washroom. Thankfully, nobody else was there. They locked the door and spent around 15 minutes inside, kissing each other so passionately that the second they had closed their eyes, the world around them ceased to exist. Memories of the distant past were erased. That very moment had lifted them to the clouds and it was joy indescribable for them.

"Why did I think it was a girl who had texted me?" wondered Stern.

At this point, he was happy it wasn't.
