A brunet in his thirties stood before a grave with flowers in hand, silence filling the air as his eyes traced over the name in front of him.

The man knelt, clutching the flowers tightly as he drew a shaky breath. He then exhaled and let his grip loosen, setting the flowers down on the ground before the stone.

Hesitantly, his hand reached out for the stone, brushing over the written words as his eyes filled with regret.

"You came into my life as a story, you left as a legend."

Bringing his hand up to his face, the man, Sawada Tsunayoshi, gave an empty chuckle.

"And you called me the stupid one," he whispered as his vision was blurred by tears. His hand lingered on his face before it was slowly brought back down, tears soon following after.

"Ne, Reborn..." he called out quietly. "I never got to answer your question, did I?"

Tsuna took slow, deep breaths before biting his lower lip. "That same question you would ask every time you came back from a long mission."

...

"Wake up, Dame-Tsuna." A green mallet came crashing down at the sleeping figure on the bed.

"H-HIIIEE!" The brunet woke up with a start, frantically scanning his surroundings before his eyes landed on Reborn.

"Reborn! When did you- Actually, no, wait. Why did you-"

"I arrived a few minutes ago. It's around 4 in the morning right now."

"Oh, I see." Tsuna took a moment to process what he heard. "Wait, what?!"

The green mallet was brought down onto his head again, earning another yelp from the victim.

"Stop shouting so early in the morning."

"You're the one who woke me up this early," Tsuna scowled as he rubbed his head, attempting to soothe the pain.

Reborn shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly, "I had nothing to do, and I didn't want to wait for you to wake up."

"Invalid excuse," Tsuna grumbled before reluctantly climbing out of his bed. "Now, why don't you give me a proper greeting, and we'll go have some coffee?"

"A proper greeting?" Reborn raised an amused brow. "Do you want a heavier mallet to greet you?"

At the sight of his exasperated expression, Reborn chuckled before his signature smirk appeared. He tipped his fedora, "Chaos, Dame-Tsuna. Did you get stronger?"

Reborn pushed the door open and walked in to see the sight of Tsuna working at his desk. "Chaos, Dame-Tsuna, did you get stronger while I was gone?"

"That's the first thing you have to say when you're back after a year?" Tsuna complained as he glanced up and scanned Reborn for any injuries. When he didn't see any, he resumed his work.

"Just answer it," Reborn replied and walked towards Tsuna's desk.

"I was busy," the brunet responded while he signed a paper.

"I didn't ask if you were busy," Reborn rolled his eyes as he placed a file next to the other papers on the desk.

Tsuna ignored the comment and rose from his chair. "I'm getting something to eat. Care to join?"
