The blinding light of the sun lands on Steve Trevor's face, waking him. He wonders if he is dead. If so, has he gone to heaven or hell? He opens his eyes and sees the face of a beautiful raven haired woman looking back at him, blocking most of the sunlight from shining on his face; definitely heaven he thinks.

"Angel," he said.

He closes his eyes as he pulls himself up in the cockpit. He opens his eyes again, his vision now clear. He looks around in the cockpit and realizes he is still very much alive.

"What happened?"

Steve unlocks his belt and jumps out of the jet. A thinner man might have come out with more bruises, but fortunately for Steve, his tall, athletic body is just a little sore. He dusts his jacket off, taking a few steps in the sand and sees his right wing is completely blown off.

"Oh right."

Someone taps him on the shoulder, startling him. He turns around quickly, his back hitting the jet and sees the same raven haired woman he thought was an angel clad in a stola.

"Who are you?" the woman asked.

Before he responds, Steve notices he is on a beach. While he was flying, the computer system in his jet did not alert him that he was near land.

"Where am I?" Steve asked.

"You are in Themyscira," the woman replied. "Now who are you?"

Steve clears his throat and composes himself. He extends his hand for a handshake.

"I'm Colonel Steve Trevor," he answered.

He notices the woman's reluctance to shake his hand. She extends her hand anyway to greet him. When she touches Steve's hand, it feels like he is shaking the hand of a power lifter.

"Are you a man Colonel Steve Trevor?" she asked.

The question surprises Steve. Is this woman blind? She cannot be since she has been looking at him this whole time. Is this a trick question? He is not sure. Then again, she is not dressed like any woman he knows. He decides to play along.

"Well, yes. As long as I can remember," he replied. "And you can just call me Steve. Colonel is my rank..."

He sees the woman looks confused.

"...My, you know, title."

"Men are not allowed on Themyscira. You have to leave."

Now Steve is confused. Where does this woman think he came from? A couple minutes ago, he thought he was dead. Now this strange, toga wearing woman is trying to run him out of a place he never knew existed.

"I can't leave," he said.

"Men are not allowed on our island. That is our law. You have to go back to wherever you came from."

"With what?" Steve said animated.

"With that metal bird you crashed in our shore," the woman replied pointing at his damaged aircraft.

"Look at it," he responded kicking the jet. "It doesn't work."

Steve sighs.

"Look, do you have a phone I can use?" he asked. "The Air Force will pay for your charges."

"What is a phone?"  the woman asked.

Steve looks at her dumbfounded. The woman is tired of arguing with him.

"Come with me," the woman said. "I'd rather the Queen deal with you."

The woman walks away. Steve follows her. They walk off of the beach and towards a chariot. Steve stops when he sees the horse drawn carriage.
