Chapter Eleven

I had nightmares all night. It was like flashbacks from the night the children were murdered. I could see the murderer in the suit, and the children running from him along with something in the window that disappeared as soon as I saw it. I couldn't recognize the thing from the glimpse I had gotten. I woke up the next morning after everybody else who had been in the kitchen and living room. I messaged Haley and told her to come to the bedroom. 'Is everything okay?' She asked as I finished getting dressed. 'Did you have any nightmares last night?' I asked without explaining why. 'Yea kinda. It was like flashbacks from the night at the pizzeria. You must be having them too huh?' She said. 'Yea. I noticed something strange. Something was in the window when I looked at the window. I couldn't make out what it was but it looked like it had a white mask.' I said 'with purple by the eyes' Me and Haley said at the same time. 'You saw it too?' I asked. 'Yea. It also had red cheeks and lips on the top and bottom of the mouth cut out.' Haley said. 'We got to find this thing. It has to have something to do with what happened that night.' I said sitting next to Shadow, who was laying on my bed. 'We have to find what that thing was first.' Haley said as Lily jumped on her bed. 'I guess we will be doing more research. If we can find it we have a major lead. It could give us a clue on the murderer.' I said as Shadow laid her head on my lap. We heard a knock at the bedroom door. 'Come in' Haley said as the door opened and the group came in. 'I told Shanieya to bring them in here.' Haley said. 'That's fine.' I said. 'Can I ask a question?' Yajaira asked. We just looked at her and nodded. 'Is Shadow your like support dog Claire? I mean yesterday when we were in the living room she growled at anyone that was close to your hurt leg except for Coraline, and you look like you saw a ghost now and he's by your side. She's almost always around you.' She said asking about Shadow's behavior. 'In a way, yes she is.' I said. 'However we have something important we have to talk about.' I said as the group sat down. 'We have to find something. As for what to call it we don't know. It had a white mask, wide mouth, red lips, purple by the eyes and red cheeks.' Haley said explaining what we saw. 'We both saw it the night of the murders. We remembered it because we had nightmares last night about the day the murders happened. Neither one of us was able to tell much more other than the masks small details. If we find it, it may give us a clue on who the murderer was and why it was there.' I said explaining.
